How to Reach Spots for Modernista Architecture in Barcelona

In the district of Eixample, specifically around the area of the Golden Square there is a long list of Modernista buildings, though one has to admit that their architectural style can be found in other buildings around the city as well. The city of Barcelona witnessed a huge boom, in the early part of the 19th century which lead to a wide spread population boom along with enhanced prosperity. It would mean a situation where Old Barcelona was bustling.

The underground tunnels are glazed, coupled with the ceramics on the top. It is just a few minutes’ walk from the La Sagrada where you would need to head towards the avenue of Gaudi. The view of ticket hall is indeed amazing. In the summer times there is a small exhibition round the place and it is really amazing. There are some suggestions from various quarters pouring in that it should be made permanent of sorts.

The special wonders

In some ways for a lot of us it works out to be a palace within a city.  From the year 1916 to 2009, it was a hospital but, UNICEF declared it as a World Heritage Site in the year 1997. The beauty of this place will depict a situation where you are working in a castle and it would really surprise you as to how this hospital went on to function till 2009.

Since it happens to be an offbeat tourist attraction, a visit to this place is worth for sure. One thing is for sure the mosaics of the place are amazing and one can admire this feature for a considerable amount of time as well.
