The communication gap between travel agent and hotelier was imminent in Bentota and Colombo.
There were no provisions of 3 bedded rooms and they had to push an extra cot into a small confined space which actually was a 2 bedded room.
Later on,one room was upgraded in Bentota only the next day.
We were made to wait for more than an hour for the rooms to be ready in Bentota.
On reaching the homestay in Colombo,it was found that there was no intimation whatsoever and neither the advanced payment was deposited to them.
As a result,Silvikris Villa( Homestay) Management refused to accommodate us even after waiting for more than 3 hours on the road.
However, later on a new hotel was arranged by them and the rooms were fine.
However we have lost more than four hours due to this lack of management and miscommunication.
We had to bear the expenses of the lunches of the driver and the guide particularly in Galle and Colombo.
The replaced driver at Colombo misbehaved while we were shopping in a different shop not suggested by him. He demanded commission from the shop owner and went overboard. Subsequently,he threatened us that he would leave and that we should take Tuk-Tuks back to the hotel.
Mr. Thillina was excellent and extremely cordial and cooperative.
