How to Reach Maldives

Maldives is a Tropical Island nation in the Indian Ocean. It is made up of 26 ring shaped atolls which in turn are made up of more than 1000 coral islands. The island is very beautiful and will make you fall in love with it. The country has a very busy fish market. It is also famous for it’s extravagant beaches, blue lagoons and reefs. Maldives is a country of dreams and a popular honeymoon destination. The weather here is just perfect and sun rays wait to engulf you in their arms.  One can also see fishes playing and swimming in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. Fua Mulaku is in the southern province of the country. This solitary island is a sight to behold. The island is very fertile, it has many plantations like mangoes, oranges and pineapples which are not found in other areas of the country. It is the largest island in Maldives. Kudahuvadhoo is located in the south Nilandhoo Atoll. It has one of the mysterious mounds known as hawittas and an old mosque. Mirhi Island houses an exclusive reef and a pristine beach. This island is a perfect location for honeymooners. There are 36 resorts on this Island. Another major tourist attraction in Maldives is the Maldives National Museum in Sultan Park which was earlier a palace. It has well-kept artefacts.

One can also reach this place by the sea route. In Maldives, the water taxi is famous. These taxis are reliable, fast and very convenient. Speed boats and steamers are also functional in the country. Hulhumalé ferry terminal gives the traveller an option of ferry as well. There is a ferry or a water taxi available in every few minutes. Ferry services are available for intra atolls travel and inter atoll travel as well. Water taxis are inexpensive and have a fixed rate to reach a particular destination.

Seaplanes are also available. It costs $70 per person to take a tour of about 30 minutes. One should go for this to see the islands from a different angle. Also there are cabs on the islands which are not expensive and are convenient as well. It is advisable to walk around the islands.
