April - June is the hottest season in Thailand with very high humidity levels as well. Light natural fabrics are the best. However, it is suggested to avoid very short shorts/hot pants and sleeveless tees/tops in public, even when it is very hot. Sunscreen, sun hat, and sunglasses are other essentials to carry in summers. Mosquito-repellent bands or lotions should also be used. July - September is the rainy season. In addition to light fabrics, it is also suggested to carry long pants and full sleeve shirts/tees. Raincoats and umbrellas are very handy in the season. October - November is a pleasant season. It is suggested to carry a mix of light woolens and light fabrics in this season because the days are still hot while nights are cool.
