I have completed my trip and appended below is my feedback as i discussed with Sujit.
Overall trip was managed fine. Driver and car were really good. Our Nuwara Eliya and Colombo hotels were very good but the one in Bentota (South Beach villa @ 69) really spoiled the experience.
Breakfast in the hotel was really bad - completely mismanaged. in the name of breakfast, they only served cut fruits and eggs, which only one so-called chef, took years to make
They did not even have milk in the stock - imagine the trouble when travelling with kids
Both of our rooms were not cleaned after the 1st day - reason that was given is that there is only one guy who is in housekeeping and he was busy with check-outs - really not acceptable. The room was cleaned once we shouted
Biggest dealbreaker was - there was no water in the hotel on the day of our check out. we were shifted to their manager's cottage for bathing/ washroom etc. Our half day was wasted in this to and fro and we couldn't cover Galle.
Property is being run as a family run unit rather than a professional hotel. Though they tried to fix things but our trip was ruined despite paying premium rates
In light of the above, I'm not ready to pay for the hotel - for one night for both rooms - and would like to have the refund. I communicated the same to direct link agent (Nurshida ) as well
I've heard you guys are new and listen and act upon the customer reviews. Hoping for the positive response from your side
