How To Reach Acropolis of Athens

The Acropolis of Athens holds a prominent position in the city of Athens and is easily accessible. One must keep in mind that one has to climb up the hill to reach the Acropolis after they reach one of the two gates at the foot of the hill. For the differently abled or those who have difficulty climbing up, there is an elevator on the North West side of the Acropolis.

Getting to the Acropolis is extremely easy as three train stations surround the hill. One can disembark at either the Monastiraki or the Thesion museum near the south entrance or take the other entrance at the Acropolis metro station near the Acropolis museum. Both these entrances lead to the actual entrance to the Acropolis, the Propylaea.

Took a week long family trip to Greece planned by Ishita and executed by Ishan from MTP vacations. Overall great experience. Pros: Ishita from sales side was quite flexible in tailoring our trip to Greece and accommodated most of my inputs towards locations, length of stay, hotels etc., Quote given was quite competitive compared to peers. Ishan from operations side stayed on top of our itinerary throughout our stay providing pickup co-ordinates, driver and stay details. Got us upgraded to better travel modes as needed to ensure our schedules won't go astray, made us positively surprised and appreciated. Was available on phone, chat through the stay to ensure our travel experience is not compromised. Cons/Improvement areas: Minor discomforts were to wait for end of the day to know exact details of next day's plans.. Though nothing went off-track majorly, couple of schedule changes were done (of course for a better experience), but weren't communicated till late. While we were able to take it in our stride and play along, might not be the case for others . Both the above are more for ppl who don't like surprises in schedules, especially bit older travelers. Sales team were able to accommodate my asks on locations, however would be great if they are forthcoming with such family friendly options for uninitiated travelers. But Overall lovely family vacation enabled by MTP team!! Keep up the good work...

Everything was nice and comfortable out there. Just couple of points I felt could have been better :- 1. Hotel Marina:- This Hotel is very poor hotel for us to stay. Hotel rooms were very small; they provided room with 2 single beds for a couple; toilets were very dirty; location of the hotel was bad. I think you should provide a better hotel going forward. Just to mention , hotels at Myconos and Santorini were the best! We enjoyed our stay there. 2. Local Transfers:- Please have the option to include local transfers- hotel to ferry and vice versa etc. This costed us a lot and a bit of hassle. 3. Delos Tour:- Inclusions say that it includes transfers/entry tickets however we were asked to pay 12Euro each for the entry. This could have been included in the overall cost to avoid confusion. Hotels at Myconos and Santorini were too good for the location.
