Great experience. Great support from the travel agent and the cab driver. Would like to recommend to others also.....only one request, keep the spice garden trip away from the iterenary. Those guys were frauds and liars. I hv spent 6k on medicines which would cost not more than 700INR in the market. It's my mistake, i got carried away with their misrepresentation...... however, the overall experience of the tour made me forget the loss of 6k....

I had a Srilanka trip planned for my parents from 21st April to 27th April with Amara Travels in Sri Lanka. As per the consensus had earlier with the agent, they promised me to provide the hotels agreed upon,SUV Car and a driver who is professional and doesn’t creates any hassles during the trip and I was very particular about it. Let me Honest here!.. The hotels and the car provided was as per the agreement. But the driver was really unprofessional in terms of: (Just citing couple of examples) 1) As per the Itinerary planned by the agent which covers the usual places every tourist visits, it was very lean (Just 4-5 places every day to make sure my parents are not stressed though the number of days increased) every place they travel to, he was like its waste of time visiting it and they wouldn’t really be able to cover the other places getting their spirit down. 2) He used to tag along with my parents to every other place they go (specifically shopping) though my parents requested him not to and comment: You guys are rich and why do u bargain. My question here is: Who the hell is he to interfere and comment about an individual’s personality? 3) On the last of travel, he left my parents around 2:30 in Colombo and asked them to travel on their own as the places are near buy. My question is : Why do I hire an agent and driver, pay hefty tour package charges if that is what I need to do in a new place. 4) On the final day, they had their flight at 7 and the driver was supposed to come at 3 as the hotel was almost an hour from the Airport to make sure they reach by 4 and comply with the protocol of checking in to the airport 3 hours earlier for International flights. In morning when he dint turn up, my parents tried ringing him almost for 30 mins, post that he picked the call and came around 4:30 and dropped them almost 1 hours 45 mins prior to the flight. I can bet if it would have been any other country they would have missed the flight. 5) He used to take them to specific shops though my parents weren’t interested where I believe he had some percentage agreement on whatever the customers buys. Whenever my parents dint purchase anything, he use to get annoyed. My parents being too positive never complained of this till the last day as they wanted to enjoy the tour and not create a hassle out of it which I agree was their biggest mistake and were finally irked with the attitude of the driver on the last day when the driver dropped them almost on the verge at the airport. Post this episode, I tried calling up the Travel agent (Mr.Sameera) to have a discussion(Not an argument) just to make sure this doesn't repeats again with any other traveler. In the course of discussion, he started getting very rude and was like “DO WHATEVER U WANT AND NEED TO” and I don’t care about anything(Even Travel Traingle). The only request to Travel Triangle is: Request you to please review the testimonials shared by other travelers as well for this agent which almost aligns with the bitter experience I have detailed out below. Please plug such agents off from your portal as such incidents not only defames a Big Brand like Travel Triangle which always strives hard to give the best experience to its travelers but also makes a traveler loose its trust over the kind of agents tied to Travel Triangle. Hoping for a better governance in terms of agents tied to Travel Triangle.

An excellent country, great people & hospitality, reasonable travel package is how I would sum up my trip. Yasitha from Amara Lanka helped plan my itinerary, select hotels and was in constant touch before and during the trip. Few of the hotels selected we bad in terms of amenities - avoid if possible - Change Hotel in Kandy, W&D in Mirissa and Cinnamon Garden in Hikkaduwa. Enquired and know we could have got better hotels for the same price. From a hotel perspective rest of them were ok. All the locations we visited Pinnawale Elephant Orphanage, Sigiriya rock, Kandy tooth temple, Ramboda falls, Yala National Park, Whale watching, Hikkaduwa beach, Gangaramaya temple were fabulous. Our driver Dencil was our biggest disappointment. He is a good driver no doubt, pretty calm while driving. But he was always looking for ways to get money from us. Even got the money from us for Kandy cultural show when it was included free in my package. He was constantly asking for money and food, just like a beggar. As I had gone with my aged parents and 2 kids, I expected him to put their needs in front of his, unfortunately, was not the case. Small things like stopping the vehicle near points of interest instead of taking to the parking lot. Asking to walk nearly 1km in rain because he had parked his car. Being rude sometimes and misguiding us. Asking to pay for parking at a few places. Even left us towards the end of the trip due to the New Year festival. Amara Lanka did provide us with alternate transport and driver for the remaining tour. Wish they had sent driver Sherly instead for our whole trip. Finally, Amara Lanka is a decent travel agency, responsive. Would be better for them to hire drivers who are decent, well mannered with tourists. If you are planning to go with them be clear and through from the beginning. Thanks to Travel triangle and Geetanjali Das for being in constant communication right from the time I called them the first time to plan for my travel. I would recommend Travel Triangle for sure.

Very Good

Sri Lanka tour with my wife and daughter was an awesome experience and I would like to give all credits to Amara Lanka Tours. Rumesh who was the representative from Amara Lanka Tour was very helpful, supportive and patient in understanding our requirements. He helped us chose hotels as per our choice and we are happy that we got a great service at the hotels in Kandy and Bentota. The hotels suggested by Rumesh were good, the location was great and we enjoyed the breakfasts. Location of Warahena Beach resort was right on the beach and the view from our room was outstanding. The stay was pleasant and we enjoyed a lot at the beautiful beach. The cab service, airport transfers everything was really good. One good thing was we got one sim card free with the package which helped us during the tour. We were told that a representative from Amara Lank Tours would be coming to receive us at the Colombo airport. But he did not show up which I think is really not good especially when you have first time customers who are first time visiting a new country and do not know anyone there. Only the driver had come for pick up and we do not expect the driver to help us for anything else other than sightseeing and restaurants. In that case it was Rumesh who immediately made everything smooth for us by working with his team and cab driver. There was a bit delay in getting the sim card and internet service was not activated in the sim card. Since the representative was also not there to meet us it took the cab driver some time to arrange the sim card for us. We would request Amara Lanka Tours to keep the sim cards ready and with internet service activated so that can make calls immediately after arrival at airport. Or else it will be good to keep the customers aware of when the sim card will be provided and what services will be available in the sim card so that the expectations are set. I am sure this will be easily and surely taken care to help other customers. The above issues did not affect our tour or anything else at all, this is just a constructive feedback on small things as there is always a scope for improvement. Trust me Amara Lanka provided us the package at a very very good price for the hotels, airport transfers, sightseeing, finding restaurants etc. I was checking same package with many other tour companies who were providing similar package at higher rates and they were very rigid wrt places to visit, not many hotel choices, high prices etc. I would recommend Amara Lanka Tours to my everyone who wish to visit Sri Lanka. It was nice booking a trip with Amara Lanka. Driver Romesh was very nice and in fact, very cooperative and entertaining. He went out of his way to help us in any kind of difficulty. Overall a pleased time spent in Sri Lanka. Thanks Amara Lanka for such good memories.

Amara Lanka, A decent Tour Operator I must say. Very co-operative and genuine people. True prices and best service. Sameera the manager is excellent in his approach, will support in all sense. We are very much satisfied with the services provided by M/s Aamra tours at Sri Lanka. The driver of the cab ( Mr. Denzil ), was very co-operative and friendly. In fact he became one of our family member by the end of our tour. He showed us everything very nicely to make the trip memorable. the hotels provided were reasonably good. I would love to undertake more trips with Travel Triangle in future and shall recommend for them to my friends for the same.

The first hotel was exceptional. But the rest were mediocre. The cab guide/driver Winston was very nice and helpful so was the travel agent Ashok.

Sri Lanka, Dec 23 - Dec 30 2017 Amara Lanka | Travel Traiangle Extremely satisfied with the package and the plan. It came out very affordable for us, and the staff was good enough to take our suggestions while planning the tour. Hotels were good and standard as promised, especially in Nuwara Eliya and Sinharaja. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The beach facing hotel at Mirissa was just as we wanted it. Our each concern was addressed with care and we took constant guidance from the tour planner (Sameera from Amara Lanka) Driver (Mr. Janaka) who received at the Airport was cooperative with excellent driving skills and vehicle (an SUV) provided to us was very comfortable, well maintained and serviced. Over all a very good trip experience i recommend everyone to try Travel Triangle / Amara Lanka. I believe they have a very good network and offer you many alternatives that comes handy depending on your budget. I and on behalf of my cousins thank you for this amazing vacation we had. You guys are doing a great job. Cheers !!
