Amara Lanka Tours

Travel Triangle facilitated our Sri Lankan vacation and they did a pretty good job of the same. Amara Lanka was our tour operator. The front office executive of Amara Lanka Mr. Sameera was extremely professional and patient and helped address every single concern in the most effective way possible. Our driver and guide Mr. Sampath was the best we could get. He made sure we were comfortable the 5 days we were in the country. He had a good knowledge of places and offered suggestions whenever possible. He is very friendly and we highly recommend his services . The highlight of our trip was our stay at RHO Sigiriya. Although, the approach road to this property is difficult; the design of the property and hospitality of the hosts truly floored us. Location is both their greatest advantage and disadvantage; disadvantage only because of access. The hotels chosen for us in other locations were also good except Serene Bungalow. I would have given Amara Lanka a 5 star rating but for our stay at Nuwara Eliya. When guests are promised the 3 star accommodation, the hotels must more or less conform to those standards. Serene Bungalow has great views of the hill side from its entrance; however, the rooms are very basic and not so well maintained. The bathrooms are really small. It felt like we were staying in one of the bedrooms of someone's home. While that is the case, it isn't that welcoming or appealing. At least, it comes nowhere close to 3 star standards. Liyya Residence in Kandy had clean and neat rooms. Laluna Resort was good too. Besides this element; we had a wonderful stay at Sri Lanka. And we recommend Amara Lanka's services.

The only thing I was uncomfortable with was that our driver had dropped us at our hotel ‘Taj Samudra’ in Colombo and ended the trip. However, as per the itinerary we were supposed to visit a few places at Colombo for sight seeing and also the driver along with the cab was supposed to stay with us until our departure on 25th December early morning. Since the driver had left the previous day, we were given a cab for our transfers to airport and we had to keep calling and following up for the cab driver at 3 AM on 25th December since he hadn’t arrived at the hotel on time. I hope they would have been much more professional and sensitive towards their customers.

All together it was a well arranged tour, and we were more than just satisfied. Our tour agent Mr. Sameera was very humble and was always very prompt to clear all doubts from the inception of the tour. He made sure all our requests were included in the tour. Our driver and guide Mr. Saman was the best, one could get. He helped us in innumerable ways in the entire trip, from fooding and site seeing. He made assure we miss nothing, and get best value from all deals. All things mentioned in the itinerary were given, except for the free cultural show at Kandy (which we had to pay from our pocket separately inspite of being mentioned in inclusive points). Most of the hotels given to us,(except The Change, Kandy, which was shabby) were good in Quality of rooms and food(breakfast). There were some last minutes changes in Hotels, which we were not informed, though the hotels turned out okay but we were ready with some expectations with some particular hotels that was changed without intimidating us, but the driver knew. So we were a bit upset with this issue. Everything was memorable, specially pinnawala elephant orphanage,scenic train ride to ella, yala safari, whale and dolphin watching to mention a few.

We were more than satisfied with Travel Triangle and Amara Lanka Tours a highly professional Driver to take us around.

Hotel @ Mirrisa was not good. Otherwise the service of the travel agent, chaffeur, process etc were satisfactory. . Whale watching, paragliding, night local site seeing, turtle hatchery .

Very Good

The travel Agency Ashok from Amara lanka tours was good and humble. But the hotels provided were not good apart from Temple tree resort. The staffs in Nuwaerilya hotels are horrible. Also the hotel provided in Colombo GSH is worse. Humble request to the travel agent guys, please dont give low budget hotels/lodges to the guests it will spoil your reputation. Do not give the low price quotation to get business and provide 1 star hotels. the guests will never recommend you again to their network

Excellent trip

The guest had really good experience, in Kandy the hotel Skyterrace was in High hill and guest denied to check in, Amara Representative has immediately changed the hotel to a great hotel.

We had a grt time and it was pretty decent work by the travel agent. But few things that didn't really go well are 1. hotels were poor. unless you asked for it you won't get it. 2. agent didn't let us know about the entry fees. we struggled to find cash since entry fees were way too high overall it was good trip

I happen to Visit Srilanka through Amara Lanka , a 5N/6D packagae wherein we covered Kandy, Nuraelliya, Bentota and Colombo. The assistance from Amara Lanka pre-booking and during booking were great. They proposed us good hotels which were value for money and assisted us design a good travel itinerary. Overall I am happy with the arrangements done as it was as per itinerary. If you planning your visit for Amazing Srilanka, Amara Lanka would certainly be a wise choice ! Amara Lanka understood our specific requirements and designed a package as per that. The trip started with our chauffeur greeting us at the airport. We were driven in a Toyota Prius which was a comfortable ride. Our driver, Mr. Saman was a humble person who was well aquainted with the roads and places. The entire trip was well planned and we reached our destinations on time. The hotels selected for us were really good, although the location of the hotels could’ve been better. Nevertheless, we had a holiday just the way we planned it. Thanks, Amara Lanka and keep up the good work. Mirissa was the best place we visited on our trip. Spotting blue whales on the Whale watching tour made it an absolutely incredible trip.

Though the cab driver is humble and polite. Cab driver is not punctual. He is a good guy but am just giving my honest feedback. Agent promised us that the driver is available when ever needed. But when I wanted to visit casino at the night he refused to serve. I booked kangaroo cab on my won and paid 700 lkr which is extra from my pocket. He also refused to take us to museum. He told it's for Canadians. I wonder y an Indian can't see a museum in srilanka. Though earls reef is the best hotel. Gsh colombo was the worst hotel. They made me to wait for more than half an hour though the room is pree booked for us. I should appreciate my driver for fighting on behalf of me to get the room. I don't understand y scuba diving is included in my iternary when it's not allowed in August. I returned back with out scuba diving. I was told that I will be provided with a new sim card. But I did not get any sim card. Though I asked twice I did not get it. Earls reef we loved it. The room and beach in front of the room is awesome. Friendly staff. Helicopter ride was the best. Water games are good.

ASHOK WAS A VERY CO-OPEARTIVE PERSON. BUT THE GUIDANCE WAS NOT GOOD HE HAS TO GUIDE TRAVELLER THAT THESE AREAS TO BE COVERED IN THESE 5 DAYS.OVER ALL HOTELS WAS GOOD SUPER CORAL AND OTHER HOTELS WAS NICE.
