We did not get a good hotel in Shimla due to the lack of communication by the package provider. We had a lot of trouble there.                 So we were looking for a good package for a vacation to Himachal. Of the various quotes offered, we chose the services offered by Travel Vichar. After a lot of discussion and negotiation, we chose three resorts and destinations - Shimla, Manali and Dharamshala. The vacation started off well. The cab driver, Kushal, was courteous, polite and helpful. As we had a senior citizen with us, he made sure that she was comfortable. Our stays at Shimla and Manali were great (in fact, the hotel chosen for Shimla - Grand Welcome - was a last minute choice as everything else was booked and we didn't get anytime to research it. But looking back, this hotel gave us the best experience. Ashapuri at Manali was a good hotel but the architecture was inconvenient for us. Our main issue happened at Dharamshala. The hotel that we booked - Quartz Himalayan Brothers - had very shady vibes - didn't seem like a place where a family would choose to stay. The menu was limited as there was no kitchen in the hotel. They were sourcing the food from elsewhere. Food taste was so-so and we aren't quite sure of the quality as later my son had an upset tummy. We had time and again emphasized to Travel Vichar that we have a senior citizen with us. Yet the hotel refused to give a proper hotel room - saying that "You didn't specify that you wanted mountain view". When we contacted Travel Triangle/Travel Vichar, they said that this is general level of hotels in Dharamshala. To this we say, that the travel agent should have warned us that compared to Shimla and Manali, hotels in Dharamshala is not that great. We should have been offered another alternative or we would have extended our stay in Shimla Manali or whatever. The travel agent didn't even bother to check in with us, despite knowing that we were not comfortable there. In fact, they - the manager - spoke rudely with us, adding insult to injury. What also happened was that Unfortunately, we had a situation late at night - my son had an upset tummy - for which we called the reception. But nobody received the phone, as everybody was asleep. We had to deal with the situation ourselves. Our advice to anyone planning a trip to Himachal is try to avoid Travel Vichar. But this bad experience of the hotel should not take away from the beauty of the place. Dharamshala is a serene place with great views - with a generous scoop of spirituality. Just don't book a hotel through Travel Vichar. Snowfall at Manali - it was an unexpected and memorable. Zip lining and yak rides. White Water rafting at Kullu in the playful Beas river. Snowcapped mountains at Manali and roaring and rippling of the Beas River through Manali. Horse riding at Shimla

                We had a wonderful trip. All the arrangements were hassle free and good. Only one thing i thought the road trip from manali to Dalhousie was too long and tiresome. It would have been better if we visited some other place near by instead of traveling on road. The Dalhousie place is awesome but it would be better to combine it with near by place instead from manali. Playing with snow with my love for the first time. Paragliding was mesmerizing.

                Hotel provided at shimla is barowalia resort, which is a pathetic hotel. initially was promised to give Pahuna resort, but later changed. Itenary provided in the list cannot be completed due to not so super planning, only 60% places can be covered.. Driver is a good person and he is a good gentle man. after so much of complaints got a better hotel in Manali Varsha Inn a very good hotel thanks to Mrs. Sharma, but the itenary in manali should be planned for 2 days, 1 day is not sufficient, this has to be told to the customer, if customer is having budget problems cover only important places. Because of this creating unnecessary rift between customer and driver, luckily not happened in my case. Neelam is very helpful in co-ordinating things, but as an agency lot to improve.

                Overall experience with travel on ease was very good. I would say trip was planned and executed as per our plan. Hotels - it was a mixed feedback. Some places we got an excellent service and in some places it was not up to the mark. Transport - we got an excellent service . Driver was very cooperative. Further to improve 1. Hotel accommodation in some places 2. We had to follow up daily with Travel agent for accommodation, it was not provided upfront and we had to call him to get the details of the accommodation in some places, which needs an improvement

                Among the whole trip, the cab experience could have been better. The driver was fine, but was not very cooperative and was insisting on what he feels the best. He did not switched on AC when it was required after repeated request. He did guide us well for the places to be visited however, was not transparent interms of the extra charges. The driver should consult with the customers before taking the customers to any other agent for further activities and should also be clearing the pros and cons. He also always pushed us to start very early around 7 AM everyday wherever we wanted to go. His assumption was that, if we start late after 7, we would get stuck in traffic. And this was not the case, we did not get stuck in any traffic during our whole tour. I think the agent should clearly specify these timing beforehand. To just visit 20 KM beyond solang valley I was charged 2500 rupees which seems too high given it was just 30 min journey one way. Visiting Sissu lake.
