Yellamma Temple

Belgaum Fort
The ancient fort is a massive fortification that houses several historical and religious monuments. The ramparts of the fort were surrounded by a moat to prevent enemy invasions. The fort is a testimony to the grandeur of the kings of yore and the neglect that it witnessed there on.

Mal Maruti Temple
The temple is one of the most renowned Hanuman temples in Belgaum. While it attracts devotees every day, the maximum footfall is witnessed on Saturdays.

The Gokak Falls
Located on the Ghataprabha River, about six kilometers away from Gokak, the waterfall is a famous trekking site. The waterfall is shoe shaped at the crest. Water cascades over the sandstone cliff set in a gorge of a rugged valley resembles the Niagara Falls to an extent. During the rainy season, the water turns reddish brown and its dull roar can be heard from a distance.

Belgaum is famous for its silk sarees, most of which are skillfully crafted by the silk weavers in Vadgaon and Angol.

Asha Kiran Planetarium
The planetarium consists of an Astronomy and Audio-Visual Education Research Centre. It is highly popular with the school children and school visits are a regular activity here.
