During the monsoons it expands many times its size. Lake Biwa in Japan is famous for the floating temple and Biwako Hana Funsui, the world’s largest fountain. The Aral Sea in the countries Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan is slowly disappearing due to pollution from fertilizer runoff, weapon testing residue left behind by the former Soviet Union.
