Highlights

About Ladakh

Ladakh is a mountainous region in the north-west of J&K, which is also known as the Trans-Himalaya (the lands beyond the Himalaya: Tibet, Xinjiang and northern Pakistan). The spectacularly jagged, arid mountains of Ladakh are what capture the attention of all travelers across the globe. It is the least populated area of Jammu and Kashmir and most of the tourist attractions are located in the eastern part which is dominated by Buddhists.

The picture-perfect gompas are dramatically crowned on the rocky outposts of the place amid whitewashed stupas and meditational manis. You’ll also see colourful fluttering prayer flags, believed to be spreading spiritual messages with the mountain breeze.
