Day 1: Paris – The city of love!
Paris was love at first sight! And although we landed in the evening, the city was lit beyond measure and offered a breathtaking vibe. Later, after our check in at the hotel, we called it night.
Day 2: Paris – Witnessing the marvels of the city!

Since our hotel was near Eiffel Tower, we visited the famous monument of love and saw awesome panoramic views from its second floor. Later, as per our Paris tour itinerary, we boarded the Hop On Hop Off bus and went on to do some great sightseeing in Paris. Some of the best places that we saw here included Opera House, Museums, and much more.
Our lunch at a French cafe was exquisite and by the time we got over with it, it started raining.
We had also planned a sunset Seine river cruise but since the weather was damp, we ditched it for another Hop On Hop Off ride. This time, we visited all of these places while listening to the audio recording and the experience was even better than before.
In the night, we finally boarded the river cruise and enjoyed the blissful views that the city had on offer. It was one hell of an experience and we loved every bit of the beautiful Paris city.

Day 3: Lucerne – Hello Switzerland!

Today, we left Paris in the morning at 6 am and left for Lucerne (via Basel). It was almost evening by the time we reached the city and just like yesterday, it was still raining here. After our check in at the Ibis Styles Luzern, we rested for a while and then went on to take a stunning lake cruise that lasted for 2.5 hours. Unlike the one in Paris, this was a dinner cruise and the whole sightseeing experience combined with great food really elevated everything.
Day 4: Mount Titlis – The peak of happiness
After our yummy breakfast at the hotel, we proceeded on to visit the famous Mount Titlis. During our cable car ride up, we stopped at a lake for the most scenic boat ride of our lives and later continued our journey uphill.
As our luck would have, Mount Titlis was stunning but this time, it was perched against a background of dark clouds. Nonetheless, we did not let this dampen our spirits and soaked in as much beauty as we could. But yes, I would admit one thing, the journey uphill was more beautiful than the destination.
Day 5: Zurich – Having a great time at the Rhein Falls
Today, once again post breakfast, we checked out of our hotel and proceeded to Zurich. The drive from Zurich to Lucerne was only of an hour and we were soon at our new hotel.
After checking in and resting for a while, we headed towards the famous Rhine Falls where we apart from the natural beauty of this wonderful place, we also enjoyed the lavish buffet in a garden.

On our way back, we once again took the Zurich river cruise courtesy our Swiss Travel Pass and later headed back to our hotel at our own pace after exploring the local markets.
Day 6: Venice – A majestic city meant for lovers!
Our train journey from Zurich to Venice was a long one and had a stop in Milan in between. By the time we reached the nearest station to Venice, it was already evening post which we soon checked into our hotel.
After freshening up for a while, we set out to visit Venice on our own and explored the well-lit city on our own. Here we had some delicious Italian cuisine and post a sumptuous meal, retired for the night at our hotel.
Day 7: Venice: Three Island Tour and the amazing Gondola ride!
We went on a Three Island Tour today and it included Murano, Burano, and Torcello islands. These were one of the most beautiful islands we had ever seen and both my husband and I were awestruck by their impeccable beauty. The glass making factories in Murano and the colorful houses in Burano really captivated us.
After our tour had ended, we went on a romantic Gondola ride and it was more surreal than what we had imagined.
Later on, after witnessing the city and its impeccable sunset, we explored it a bit more after dark and even did shopping. After we had soaked in every bit and corner of the city to the fullest, we returned to our hotel and called it a night.
Day 8: Florence – The incredible Leaning Tower of Pisa
We traveled to Florence today and later on took a train to Pisa. Later after check into our hotel, we proceeded on for an incredible tour of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. This was one of the best experiences of our trip even though it was crowded. After another fulfilling day in our romantic trip to Europe, we returned to our hotel.
Day 9: Rome – Of grand architecture
We took a train to Rome today and after checking into our new hotel here proceeded on for a Hop On Hop Off tour in Rome. After once again completing our well-guided bus tour, we had our lunch and then as per our Rome tour itinerary, went on to explore other famous places like Roman Forum, Palatine Hills & Colosseum.
Overall, our whole experience in this city was quite grand and we returned to our hotel tired but happy.
Day 10: The last day of our romantic trip to Europe
This was the last day of our trip and in the morning after breakfast, we boarded our flight back to Mumbai from the airport in Rome.
