When the Europeans arrived in Bali during the 16th century, they brought their Western culture along with them. Today, Bali stands as a symbol of these mixed cultures which has been preserved by the people. Earlier during the 2000 BCE, Bali was inhabited by the people who migrated from Oceania and Southeast Asia and they were called as Austronesian people. Travel to Bali

Read about the best & quickest routes to save time & money, as suggested by our travelers

By Air

Travelling by air is the best way to reach Bali from India. As many of the airlines have a layover at Kuala Lumpur, one can choose to book a flight from major cities of India up to Ngurah Rai International Airport. Garuda Indonesia runs a nonstop flight from Mumbai to Bali whereas there are only connecting flights available to travel from Delhi to Bali by air. One can also take a flight from India to Singapore and then board a flight to Bali. The airport is well connected to all the cities within the country as well as outside it. One can take a bus or taxi from the airport to reach their destination.

By Road

Bali, being an island, does not have any road connectivity with other parts of the world. Therefore, it is impossible to reach Bali by road directly. However, one can reach Singapore by road, and then take a ferry to reach Jakarta. Jakarta to Bali distance is about 1200 km; and it takes around 23 hours journey by bus from Jakarta to Bali. Thus, the route will be India- Myanmar- Thailand- Malaysia- Indonesia. Going to Bali by road is not recommended as it can take weeks to reach the destination. Also, one must have a visa and other permits for all the countries that are on the way, which makes the road trip very expensive.

I am very delighted to share the Bali trip experience with you all about The Desi Yatri. We were on a trip to Bali for 8days 7Nights. Sahil from The Desi Yatri through Travel Triangle is the man who made my trip memorable. Sahil helped me in making my own itinerary with fine details. Thank you so much, Sahil for such a great detail planning and execution.  It was my wife's birthday and Sahil's presence and gift there at Bali with us added the cherry on top. He guided us throughout the trip. We enjoyed the beauty of Bali by visiting Uluwatu, Tanah Lot, GKW Park, Ubud, Kintamani and Pandawa Beach. We also did some water sports and river rafting, It was one of the most memorable experiences of our life. We were provided with the best possible services at Bali at a given cost. We delighted with private car for all sightseeing and private pool villas on a relaxing day. We enjoyed a lot in our whole trip. Thanks to the journey planner Sahil & Sagar for making our trip most memorable. Now, I can recommend with my own experience TT services/TheDesi Yatri service.

Nothing special in that. It was mentioned room decoration once with flowers. There was just a single rose on the bed. Nothing special with that as well. It was mentioned driver cum guide. He dint explain even a word about any place, in spite of asking. Remaining everything was amazing. Nuse penida was amazing. Best in the trip. Beaches food nature was amazing

    • Trip to Bali

It was Ok .. one day we had to wait half and hour for the driver at padang bai in scorching heat searching for the driver. The driver was waiting in the parking lot.. while all other drivers were waiting near the boat with the name placards. Also the tour company never provided the information on the drivers in advance.. which i repeatedly asked them for(as all times different drivers were sent). I asked the drivers.. they said the list was prepared always one day in advance as to which driver will pick up with customer. Also one of the hotels suggested was not upto the mark.. "Abhirama Ubud villas". The staff was rude. There were no safety lockers in the room. The Air conditioning was not working and making noise. After lot of request they changed the room.. basically a bad experience at ABIRAMA. We had all days at out own leasure .

    • Trip to Bali

It was really great experience to visit bali. It was first time i went out of country, i was bit frightened before taking the trip. But is has nothing to be frightened off in Bali. We met driver who was very nice guy "thank you Mr Mandela". He was with us the whole trip for any pickup and drop. i would recommend prebooked cab for your trip. He also suggest few places other than our planned itinerary where we went and they were really good. We lived in Legian Kuta recommended if you love club/night life. We also lived in Villa in Nusa dua it was also really good. For vegetarian Bali has really fewer options and for non-vegetarian there are more than u can think. We took USD from India and converted then to IDR best rate you will get if you want to save money. It is recommended to convert partly as you can get money exchange in bali very very easily. We also took ICICI international card which was also useful at many places specially at airport like we had connecting flight from Malaysia but we didn't has their currency, we used card there.
