While there were pointers given along the way, we had the autonomy to create, recreate and re-recreate our own itinerary. It's this customization which probably sets TT apart from some of the more popular travel portals. The representatives helped us in choosing the right hotels basis our preference and the most covnenient flights as per our schedule. Even the payment schedule was very convenient and customer-friendly. As it turned out, the hotels selected were top notch both in terms of comfort and location, and barring this one occasion where the designated cab driver didn't turn up and we had to reach the destination in a local taxi (whose tariff was, of course, refunded to us), travel was hassle free and the cabbies very punctual and friendly. The vouchers for all activities were faxed to us at our Hotel, and there were confirmation-cum-reminder calls one day prior to the activity. The trip wasn't without its odd jittery moment, though. While on most days a three hour layover at Suvarnabhumi Airport may be enough to finish the Visa formalities, there are days when the spurt in arrival of Indian tourists is so huge that the Visa on Arrival queue is as long as any you would see. While we were lucky to get everything done just in the nick of time to board the onward flight to Phuket, there were more than a few chewed fingernails along the way. Nevertheless, these few hiccups along the way made the trip all the more eventful and hence more memorable. Overall, completely satisfied and totally delighted with our first experience with Travel Triangle. Would love to be associated again. As they say in Thai, 'laaeo phohp gan mai!' I think the pick would be the four island tour at Krabi. We had a near empty boat to ourselves and luckily the skies stayed clear. The tour guide was a firebomb Thai lady who could speak and understand basic English words. The islands were fantastic, each different from the others. The water was azure and the sand milky white. The cliffs proved wonderful backdrops to some memorable photos. Back offshore, Snorkeling amongst the corals at the aptly named Chicken Islands was the highlight of the day. Although the snorkeling equipment could do with some repair, the breathtaking view below more than made up for it. Swimming with the fishes in their natural habitat was an experience of a lifetime! While the complementary lunch was nothing to write home about, the brilliant company of the tour guide more than made up for it. Also had the priviledge of munching on the freshest and juicient Pineapples served to us on our way back. Although the entire trip was special, this one day is etched in our memories forever.
