      FAQs for Cambodia

What is the best time to visit Vietnam and Cambodia?

The best time to visit Vietnam and Cambodia is during the winter months, from end of October to mid-March, when the weather is cooler and ideal for sightseeing. This is also when you will get to see a lot of festivities for Christmas and New Year, although most of that is targeted towards tourists. Nevertheless, there are loads of fairs and shopping carnivals to check out here during this time.

How many days are enough for Vietnam?

If you want to check out only the main cities of Vietnam, keep at least 4 to 5 days in hand. And if you want to relax and really get to know the city, and spend some time in the rural areas as well, then plan a trip for at least 7 to 8 days, or more.

How do I travel from Vietnam to Cambodia?

There are buses and trains that ply regularly between Vietnam and Cambodia. The most popular route for buses is from Siem Reap to Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City on an overnight journey. You can also take a flight, which is shorter and more expensive, but then you miss out on the charms of the beautiful road journey.

What are the documents required for a Cambodia Visa?

For an e-visa, an online form needs to be filled and submitted, along with the fee. For a traditional tourist visa, the following will be required:

      • Original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay in Cambodia, with at least one blank passport page available for Cambodian visa stamp
      • One signed Cambodia visa application form plus one copy
      • One recent 2 x 2 passport type photograph, in color, front view and with a plain/light background
      • Computer-generated flight itinerary showing round trip travel to Cambodia and onward flight

What is the dress code for visiting the temples in Cambodia?

Travelers visiting temples must avoid wearing skimpy outfits and try to cover shoulders & legs from the knee up.

Is visa on arrival an option at Cambodia?

Yes, visa on arrival is available for several nationalities, including Indians. However, the country's website offers the chance to apply for an e-visa online, which is an option tried out by many.

Review for TRIPPRO: Vietnam Family Trip in May I recently booked a family trip to Vietnam through TRIPPRO, and it was an incredible experience. TRIPPRO's customer service was outstanding, from the initial inquiry to the end of our journey. They tailored the itinerary to our preferences, ensuring a well-planned and hassle-free trip. The accommodations recommended by TRIPPRO were excellent. We stayed in family-friendly 4 star hotels that were comfortable, clean, and conveniently located. The staff at each hotel was welcoming, and the rooms were spacious enough for our family of three. TRIPPRO organized a variety of activities and excursions that were the highlights of our trip. We explored the vibrant streets of Hanoi, enjoyed the breathtaking landscapes of Halong Bay, and immersed ourselves in the history of Hoi An, Mesmerizing Phu Quoc island. They also arranged family-friendly activities like a bicycle tour and a visit to a local village. Transportation arrangements were seamless, and the local guides provided valuable insights throughout our journey. TRIPPRO's attention to safety was commendable, ensuring all destinations complied with safety standards. Overall, I highly recommend TRIPPRO for a family trip to Vietnam. Their exceptional customer service, meticulous planning, and dedication to creating memorable experiences made our trip truly special. We look forward to future adventures with TRIPPRO.

When we (as a family) thought of visiting Vietnam & Cambodia we had not much idea how to plan the places and where we need to start. Enter Hannah (from Viet Aurora Travel) who was simply amazing to chart out a decent itinerary for us. Hannah is a lovely human being and her passion and sincerity in providing us support with the entire itinerary is truly commendable. Our itinerary covered Hanoi to Halong Bay to Ho Chi Minh. Thereafter to Cambodia (Angkor Wat, Tonle Sap and other wonderful temple tours). We had requested for multiple changes, adjustments, queries, lot of clarifications and Hannah was simply patient and very very prompt to answer every questions. Not only she designed a super itinerary but did follow-ups each time and ensuring there we no hurdles at any point of our journey. For example when we had to start very early in the morning for a tour visit, Hannah had called up the Hotel authorities and packed breakfast for us. This kind of commitment and service were fantastic. The tour guides, the hotels, cabs that were chosen were excellent. More than the scenic places, its the people and their warm culture that made us feel very comfortable and memorable. Special mention to tour guides (Mr. Chung in Halong bay), Ms. Tweny (Cu-Chi, Mekong delta) and Mr. Khoun Vuthy (entire Cambodia) who was a gem of a person. Thank you Travel Triangle, this is my second experience with you and you have not disappointed. Thank you once again for creating wonderful memories for my family.

The trip was organised as planned. Lucy of S Viet was quick to respond to any queries and to sort out any issues we faced while on tour. A bit more information sharing upfront would be more useful, instead of us asking the tour timings everyday. The Pacific Angkor hotel at Siam Reap was quite nice, but it is not suitable for vegetarians. There was nothing on the breakfast for vegetarians except fruits and bread, as even the Soup and Porridge was non-veg. Also the hotel is near Airport and far away from city, that we had to pay for TukTuk more than the cost of dinner everyday that we stayed there, as the hotel restaurant options were very limited.
