Bali Family Holiday Packages for Kids, Parents and Grandparents
Bali works for Indian families because the hard parts are short. The flight from Bengaluru is about six hours, the visa is paid on arrival, and the airport sits 15 minutes from Kuta and about 25 minutes from Nusa Dua. Nusa Dua's resort strip has lagoon-calm water, lifeguards and kids' clubs, Sanur has a reef-protected beach and a flat 5 km seaside path, Kuta puts Waterbom Bali within a short cab ride, and Ubud gives everyone monkeys, rice terraces and a Balinese dance in the evening. That spread is why Bali tour packages for family groups sell well across three generations.
Popular Bali Family Tour Packages Options
| Package | Nights | From (Rs per person) | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Budget family trip: Kuta + Seminyak | 6 | 19,998 | First Bali trip on a tight budget |
| Short family break: Kuta + Seminyak | 4 | 22,500 | Under-5s or one week of leave |
| Beach and culture: Kuta + Ubud | 5 | 22,998 | Kids 5 and older |
| Bali Family Holiday: Kuta + Seminyak | 5 | 28,200 | Most families, one week of school leave |
| Calm-water trip: Nusa Dua + Ubud | 6 | 31,500 | Toddlers and grandparents |
| Extended holiday: Kuta + Seminyak | 7 | 35,000 | Elders who want a slow pace |
| Bali + Gili Islands family tour | 8 | 42,999 | Teens who snorkel |
| Singapore + Bali family combo | 6 | 55,000 | Kids who want Universal Studios too |
| Luxury family trip | 6 | 1,05,000 | Private pool villa, joint families |
Five or six nights is the length most of our families book. Three nights in Kuta or Nusa Dua cover the beach, a glass-bottom boat to Turtle Island and the Uluwatu sunset dance, and two or three nights in Ubud or Seminyak cover the Monkey Forest and a free pool afternoon. Seven or eight nights suit families with grandparents and leave room for a fast-boat day to Nusa Penida or the Gili Islands. Most cards are land-only, so you can use an airline sale from your city or ask your agent to add flights for one family price.
Bali Family Package Cost for a Family of 4
A family of four (two adults, two children) pays about Rs 2.1 lakh to Rs 3.3 lakh for a four- to seven-night Bali trip. The all-in column adds return economy flights for four (about Rs 1.2 to 1.8 lakh) and visas plus levy for four (about Rs 14,000).
| Trip | Land package for 4 | Family of 4, all-in |
|---|---|---|
| 4N/5D (Rs 22,500 pp) | Rs 90,000 | Rs 2.2 to 2.8 lakh |
| 5N/6D (Rs 22,998 pp) | Rs 91,992 | Rs 2.3 to 2.9 lakh |
| 6N/7D budget (Rs 19,998 pp) | Rs 79,992 | Rs 2.1 to 2.7 lakh |
| 6N/7D Nusa Dua + Ubud (Rs 31,500 pp) | Rs 1,26,000 | Rs 2.6 to 3.2 lakh |
| 7N/8D (Rs 35,000 pp) | Rs 1,40,000 | Rs 2.7 to 3.3 lakh |
| 8N/9D with Gili (Rs 42,999 pp) | Rs 1,71,996 | Rs 3.1 to 3.7 lakh |
The land column prices all four of you at the per-person twin-sharing rate, which is what two rooms cost. If the children share your room, the land cost drops, and your agent quotes that child rate with the itinerary. To cut the bill, fly non-stop from Bengaluru or Delhi, book May, June and Diwali 60 to 90 days ahead, and ask for a family room or a two-bedroom villa instead of two rooms. For prices on every kind of Bali trip, see our Bali tour packages.
Which Area of Bali Is Best for Your Family?
Nusa Dua or Sanur is the best base for toddlers and grandparents, Kuta suits kids over six and teens, and Ubud is the two- or three-night add-on for nature and culture. For a full hotel guide, read where to stay in Bali.
Nusa Dua suits toddlers and grandparents with its resorts and kids' clubs, though it is about 1.5 hours from Ubud. Sanur suits slow walkers and has boats to Nusa Penida. Kuta and Legian suit kids of six and older and teens, with Waterbom next door, but the surf beaches are not for toddlers to swim. Seminyak has private-pool villas for joint families, and Ubud has the Monkey Forest and Bali Safari but no beach.
Family-Friendly Activities in Bali Packages
Our family packages keep each day to one big outing. Toddlers do best on Sanur beach, at resort kids' clubs and at Bali Bird Park. Kids of five to eleven love Waterbom Bali, the tram ride at Bali Safari and Marine Park, the Monkey Forest and the Kecak fire dance at Uluwatu. Teens can add a surf lesson in Kuta, Ayung river rafting or a Mount Batur sunrise trek, and grandparents enjoy Tanah Lot at sunset and the Tirta Empul water temple. More ideas are in our guide to places to visit in Bali with family.
Sample 6N/7D Bali Family Itinerary
This route is close to the Mesmerizing Bali Family Vacation (Nusa Dua 4 days, Ubud 3 days) at Rs 31,500 per person land-only.
• Day 1: Arrive, 25-minute transfer to Nusa Dua, pool and kids' club.
• Day 2: Glass-bottom boat to Turtle Island, Kecak dance at Uluwatu at sunset.
• Day 3: A full day at Waterbom Bali in Kuta.
• Day 4: Bali Safari on the way to Ubud.
• Day 5: Monkey Forest, Tegallalang rice terraces, evening dance at Ubud Palace.
• Day 6: Kintamani lunch with a view of Mount Batur, or a free pool day.
• Day 7: Ubud market, then about 1.5 hours to the airport.
Best Time to Visit Bali with Family
April to October is the dry season and the best time for a family trip, with sunny days and calm mornings on the south-coast beaches. May, June and the Diwali and Christmas breaks are peak for Indian families, while September and early October are dry and cheaper. Nyepi, the Balinese Day of Silence in March, shuts the airport for 24 hours. Month-by-month weather is in our best time to visit Bali guide.
How to Reach Bali from India with Kids
You land at Ngurah Rai International Airport (Denpasar), 15 minutes from Kuta. IndiGo flies non-stop from Bengaluru every day and Air India flies non-stop from Delhi five days a week, and IndiGo also flies daily from Mumbai with a short technical stop in Chennai. From other cities you connect once via Singapore or Kuala Lumpur. See Bali packages from Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and Hyderabad, or read how to reach Bali.
Bali Visa and Tourist Levy for Indian Families
Every Indian traveller needs a visa for Bali, including children and infants. The Visa on Arrival costs IDR 500,000 (about Rs 2,700) per person and is valid for 30 days, and you can apply online for the e-VoA before you fly to skip the queue with tired kids. Each family member also pays the Bali tourist levy of IDR 150,000 (about Rs 800) once per trip, so a family of four pays about Rs 14,000 in total. Carry passports valid for six months, fill the All Indonesia arrival card online in the 72 hours before you land, and if a child travels with one parent, carry a signed consent letter from the other. More detail is in our guide to the Bali visa for Indians.
What's Included in a Bali Family Package
Usually included: a hotel or villa for every night with breakfast, private airport transfers, a private cab on sightseeing days and the sightseeing listed on the itinerary. Usually extra: return flights unless the card shows Flights, the Visa on Arrival and Bali levy, lunches and dinners not listed, travel insurance and optional add-ons.

FAQs About Bali Family Packages
How much does a Bali family trip cost from India?
Bali family packages on TravelTriangle start at Rs 19,998 per person on twin sharing for 6N/7D, land-only, and most family trips cost Rs 22,500 to Rs 35,000 per person. For a family of four, the all-in cost with economy flights, visas and the tourist levy is about Rs 2.1 lakh to Rs 3.3 lakh for four to seven nights. A six-night luxury trip with a private-pool villa costs about Rs 5.5 lakh to Rs 6.1 lakh for four.
Are Bali tour packages for family trips safe for kids?
Yes. Bali is one of the easier international trips with children. Base the trip in Nusa Dua or Sanur, where the water is calm and resorts have lifeguards, and avoid swimming on Kuta and Seminyak's surf beaches. Drink bottled water, use the child seats we arrange in private cabs, and keep food in a closed bag at the Monkey Forest and Uluwatu.
Which area of Bali is best for families?
Nusa Dua and Sanur are best for toddlers and grandparents because of their calm, reef-protected beaches and resort kids' clubs. Kuta and Legian suit kids over six and teens, with Waterbom and the malls nearby. Ubud is the two- or three-night add-on for the Monkey Forest, rice terraces and Bali Safari. Most families combine one beach area with Ubud.
Do Indian children need a visa for Bali?
Yes. Every traveller, including infants, needs a passport valid for six months, a Visa on Arrival or e-VoA (IDR 500,000, about Rs 2,700, valid 30 days) and the Bali tourist levy (IDR 150,000, about Rs 800). For a family of four, visas and levy come to about Rs 14,000. Fill the All Indonesia arrival card online within 72 hours before landing.
How many days are enough for Bali with family?
Five or six nights is right for most families. That gives three nights at a beach base and two or three in Ubud without long cab rides every day. Four nights works for a first trip with toddlers if you stay in one area. Seven or eight nights leaves room for a Nusa Penida or Gili Islands day and a free pool day.
What is the best time to visit Bali with kids?
April to October, the dry season, is the best time, with sunny days and calm south-coast mornings. May, June and the Diwali and Christmas breaks are peak for Indian families, so book 60 to 90 days ahead. September and early October give dry weather at lower prices. November to March is wetter but cheaper, except over Christmas and New Year.
What is the best age to take kids to Bali?
Any age works, but children of four and older get the most from Waterbom, Bali Safari and the Monkey Forest. With children under three, stay in Nusa Dua or Sanur, choose a resort with a kids' club and a cot, and keep Ubud to two nights. Teens enjoy surf lessons, rafting, the Bali Swing and a Nusa Penida day trip.
Do Bali family packages include flights?
Most of our Bali family packages are land-only, which lets you use airline offers from your city. Your agent can add return flights from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune or Ahmedabad to any package and show you the full family price before you book. Return economy fares run about Rs 30,000 to Rs 45,000 per person.
What is included in a typical Bali family tour package?
A typical Bali family package includes hotels with breakfast, private airport transfers, a private cab on sightseeing days, and the sightseeing and activities listed on the itinerary. Flights, visas, the Bali levy, most lunches and dinners and travel insurance are usually extra. Each card shows its own inclusions, so check them before you compare prices.
Are vegetarian and Jain meals available in Bali?
Yes. Indian and vegetarian restaurants are easy to find in Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, Nusa Dua and Ubud, and most hotel breakfasts have fruit, eggs and plain options for children. Jain meals can be pre-arranged at most hotels if you ask your agent when you book. Carry a few familiar snacks for long drives.
Do resorts in Bali have kids' clubs?
Many do, especially the larger resorts in Nusa Dua, Tanjung Benoa and Jimbaran, which run supervised kids' clubs with crafts, pool games and Balinese dance lessons. Villas in Seminyak and Ubud usually do not. If a kids' club matters to you, ask your agent to pick a resort that has one and to confirm the age limit.
Can Bali family packages be customised for kids and seniors?
Yes. TravelTriangle offers fully custom Bali family packages for kids, parents and elders. You can change the areas, swap a hotel for a villa, add connecting rooms, a child seat or a wheelchair-friendly cab, drop steep sites like Kelingking or Tegenungan, and add free days. Every change is written into the final quote.
Does TravelTriangle provide travel support during the trip?
Yes. You get dedicated support before and during your family trip. Your local Bali agent is on call 24x7 for cab delays, hotel issues or a change of plan, and TravelTriangle releases payment to the agent only after you have received all your vouchers.
How is the nightlife in Bali?
A longtime habitat for hippy culture, Bali, over the past decade, has become a thriving party capital with a continuous stream of tourists from all over the world. Whether it’s the unending parties at Kuta Beach or the club hopping with no closing time, the island is a world-class destination to explore at night time.
