5. Tapta Kund Badrinath

Positioned between Badrinath shrine and Alaknanda River, Tapta Kund is a hot water spring that receives a huge influx of visitors every day. The Taptakund is a natural hot water spring that maintains 45 degrees temperature. As per the belief, the water of the kund cures several ailments due to its me.

Best time to visit

The ideal time or peak season to go to Badrinath or on a Char Dham Yatra is from May to October, except monsoons as the roads are prone to frequent landslides. The portals of the Badrinath temple annually open between the summer months of April-May and close during winters.
