Ankit's 3 days trip to Himachal

Booked it through Ideal Tours. 2 day 2 night trip to Shimla for 2 people. Enjoyed it. Shimla is a beutiful place to visit during winters. The pros and cons of the trip were: 1. Hotel - The quality of Hotel and room could have been much better for the price paid. I was assured a room with balcony and great view but my room didn't and the window opened on the side of the building and had view of adjacent trees and building rather than the valley. I was told that Hotel Royal Vista Shimla is a 3 star hotel, but that turned out to be a dissapointment. It was located around 6 km from Shimla. The room was very small, hardly 12 ft by 8 ft. Even after i requested and argued with the agent, i couldn't be alloted a better one. The wooden almirah had moulds inside. The temperature in shimla dipped to -3 celcius at nights, but the hotel asked us to pay extra for a room heater (it should be a standard facility in rooms in a '3 star hotel', especially in winters). The bathroom was good, but only a soap was available in terms of toiletries. Food quality in the hotel was good, even though variety was limited. The staff was courteous enouigh. 2. CAB - We were given a swift dezire cab for travel and sightseeing, which was clean, well maintained and driver Mr Rohit Thakur was very good and soft-spoken too. 3. Sightseeing - On first evening, we went to Mall Road, Shimla on christmas eve, and thoroughly enjoyed the beautifully lit buildings, the church, viceroy's palace, and the shimla valley view from there and the cold weather was just the icing on the cake. 2nd day, we went to Kufri, and travelled to Mahashu Peak on horseback and also visited Kufri Fun World. Later in the evening we proceeded to Chail and visited the famous Kali Tibba Temple. On the 3rd day, we visited Naldehra and Mashobra, and enjoyed our horseback trip there in the tranquil atmosphere. In the afternoon, it started to snow., which we were waiting for our whole trip. To sum up our sightseeing experience: Mall Road is a must go but go in the evening around 5 pm and stay till 8-9 pm to enjoy it fully. The souveniers, clothing, etc available there are overpriced so i wouldn't suggest buying anything from there. Kufri is just a overhyped, especially Kufri Fun World, you can avoid going to Fun World, as it is just like any other amusement park. The best places to visit are Naldehra and Mashobra. The crowd is less and the whole atmosphere is more serene and peaceful. 4. Overall Agent Experience: Satisfactory. The agent tried a lot to get me good hotel options, but he couldn't in his own budget, due to it being christmas weekend. Rest everything was well arranged.

Mr.Sandeep Negi is a man of his words and a very humble guy as well. He helped us above and beyond his limits just to make our experience great. So big THANKS to him for his professionalism and work. We visited Mashobra and Manali on our trip and both were equally good and nice attractions. Would love to visit again once we all are free from this outbreak. Thanks, team TT for such hospitality

Neenamed's 4 days trip to Himachal

We had a good trip to Himachal & Chandigarh, thanks to Pan-India Travels, especially Ms Anjana who customized our package to our convenience. We were 2 ladies and 2 kids and we were made totally comfortable by them. The drive from Chandigarh to Shimla was very tiring due to the maintenance of Kalka-Shimla Express Highway but our driver Mr Gurjant was very considerate and took great care in our journey.Thankfully, our hotel,Hill Crest Resorts ,Mashobra was an absolute charmer with beautiful garden, great ambience, wonderful hospitality and great food.A must place to stay if you are in Shimla! Kufri was a big disappointment as the trip uphill on horseback was crowded and the roads were dirty & slushyThe apple garden was a sore affair with no apples at this time of the year but we enjoyed the games ;especially Zipliner.I wouldn't recommend Kufri in summer. We also missed the Indian Institute of Advanced studies due to lack of time.We should have planned better. The Mall Road at Shimla was fun dotted with shops, historical places like the Victorian era Christ Church,Gaeity theatre,Scandal Point,The Ridge & the famous Jakoo Peak. Our drive back to Chandigarh was more pleasant with beautiful climate and a slight drizzle along the way.We visited Nekchand,s amazing Rock garden, the serene Sukhna lake and enjoyed an evening boat ride there. The kids enjoyed the Adventure zone very much. Our hotel in Chandigarh,Clarion Inn Sevilla was manageable ,though the housekeeping was poor and food ordinary. The next day we visited the lush green Rose garden minus the roses(you should go in winter) but it was still very enjoyable walking around. We topped it up with Phuchkas & hot Kachoris at Sindhi sweets and some serious street shopping at Sec 17.Altogether a memorable trip!

Radha's 7 days trip to Himachal

the overall trip was great. our trip organiser was extremely patient and helpful throughout the trip from planning phase till after we had returned to confirm we had reached back safely. but the driver we got unfortunately made the trip slightly unpleasant. our first day stay in Shimla was in Mashobra which was an amazing location for a hotel and polite staff. our stay in Manali was in a hotel that had very professional and courteous staff. but our stay in Delhi was not good. location, rooms and people wise. overall a 6.5 out of 10. A high rating Specially due to Shiwani and Nikhil and the rating is lower because of the driver and the final hotel experience. otherwise it was a well planned trip.

Punit's 6 days trip to Himachal

Overall my trip to Himachal was good. But there were few let downs by the cab driver. First thing the cab didn't had yellow plate (Tourist tag) on his cab which means he saved a lot of money escaping the permits and various other payments which the Tourist vehicle pays to the govt.. The condition of the cab was pathetic with foul smell, no maintenance, the suspensions were dead and the way he was driving at the sharp turns was ridiculous. Overall the experience with driver and his cab which consisted more than 50% of my budget was disgusting. We had some close shave with vehicles coming from the opposite side. Guarav Verma was the assigned cab co-ordinator who didn't even called us once through out the journey. Ali was the driver assigned to us. We tried to take care of him as it was his Ramzan. Arranged food for him in the morning hours and we shared the same table in the evening hours once he used to break his fast. As a courtesy we also packed some sweets for his family on the last day of our trip. But at the end of the trip he surprised us by taking 1000 rupees and never giving it back. This driver didnt cover what we wanted to even after insisting instead showed us some different places which were on the route itself. If by any chance GAURAV VERMA or ALI is allotted to your trip. Please dont proceed with them. The hotels chosen by us were good. I would not recommend Hotel Blue Harmony in Mashobra as it had small squarish rooms which could only fit a double sized bed and nothing else. Neeraj the agent from Travel Triangle was very helpful and offered me the hotels in my chosen locations. Thanks buddy.

Thrust's 3 days trip to Chail

Wowwww, is the only word which could say for my trip to Mashobra and Naldehra, awesome hospitality ,, all the arrangements made by Shirgul Travels were handled superbly.,, special thanx to Mr. Chaman Thakur who has made our trip such a memorable one that each one of us is still in the dreams of vacations that we have spent at APPLE AVENUE CAMP, Baldiyan. Also the hotel, BYKE NATURE VILLAS ,has got the g8t location or I would say the best located. Terrace's mountain view ,,,nobody in his life should miss. Politeness in the staff was the USP of both the places i.e. APPLE AVENUE CAMP as well as of BYKE NATURE VILLAS. So in the end I would say very well co-ordinated and very well arranged. And once again THANX to making our trip ,, one of the best that we have done so far.
