Diu Island in Gujarat is connected to the southern coast of Gujarat by a bridge. Steeped in Portuguese past, Diu fascinates tourists to partake in its age-old glory.
This factor makes newlyweds to book Diu honeymoon packages. The town sits at the east end of the island and is spick and span, inviting couples to begin the new phase of their life amidst lovely environs. The island is dotted by salt pans and tidal marshes in the north, whereas limestone cliffs, rocky coves and sandy beaches beautify the southern part. GUJRAT TRIP from 9 to 14 Feb 2020 : We have booked 6D/5N trip for 6 Sr Citizens from 9 Feb to 14 Feb 2020 through TT / DH . The over all trip has been good & we visited Ahmedabad , Jamnager , Dwarka , Bet Dwarka , Porbandar , Somnath & Diu . The Driver Mr Bharat Bhai has been very co-operative & caring . Hotel Carrefour at Ahmedabad & Rainbow Resort at DIU were good . Hotel The Grand Dwraka in Dwarka & Hotel Heritage in Veraval - Somnath were average . Mr Amin Mansuri from Diu Holidays did good planning for the trip & most of our concerns raised during booking / after booking were properly addressed by him so that our trip has been executed properly without any issue . DH Mr Mansuri should be more responsive in attending phone calls / replying whats app messages in time . In TT , trip guide kept on changing ( Ms. Himani Dhami to Mr Jayant Singh ) & convenience fee of Rs.500/ charged by TT could be known only at the time of making payment against payment invoice of DH/TT ( TT fee should have been shown / included at the time of submitting offers by the Agents of DH ). Overall a good experience. You will get a point of contact (PoC) from Travel Agent to interact with and chalk out the whole travel. Remember you will have to invest a lot of time and effort as well. I was asked to book flight on my own. All of sudden the PoC will quit and another will takeover. Absolutely scary but all is well that goes n ends well. They hooked me onto a good driver who didnt have any bad habits BUT was dead slow driving n kanjoos as he was stopping n searching for cng every 200kms which made us lag n could not visit few good planned places. If they (travel agency) can improve n mature around these areas, they can get 5 stars. Time spent at Diu : The Fern resort

The travel agent helped in deciding the travel plan. Multiple changes were suggested by me and they were happily incorporated. However, while planning everything, I was promised Etios car by the agent but we received a smaller car Dzire. A day before the trip, when I got the information about this car, I requested them to change it to Etios but it was not done. Passengers felt immense problem due to that. Nevertheless, the driver and his car were excellent. Driver's behaviour was beyond imagination. He helped everyone a lot in sight seeing. Never drove rash and never spoke back in retaliation, for the decisions made by the passengers. Also, the staff and hotel in Kutch i.e. Banni Resort in Hodka was a bad experience. Rooms, meals and staff were quite shabby. But rest of the hotels in Dwarka, Diu and Gir were amazing. But Daksh resort in Gir was quite far away from the Jungle Safari entry. Overall I would give 4 stars. 1 star deducted out of 5, for the small car and the Banni hotel.
