Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1: Delhi to Shimla by overnight Volvo

Your trip begins in the evening at a Delhi bus stand, where you board your Volvo AC coach on your own. Your travel agent shares the exact boarding point and timing once you book. Delhi to Shimla is about 343 km, and the overnight run takes roughly 8 to 9 hours, climbing from the plains through Chandigarh and Solan before the final ghat section into the hills. Carry a light jacket, a neck pillow and any medication you may need. Settle into your reclining seat, watch the road unwind, and rest. You have an early start in Shimla.

Day 2: Shimla and Kufri sightseeing

After you reach Shimla in the morning, our representative meets you at the bus stand and takes you to your hotel to check in and freshen up. Start with the temple cluster: Kali Bari Temple and the hilltop Jakhu Temple, with its towering Hanuman statue and resident monkeys, then the neo-Gothic Christ Church on the Ridge. The Ridge and the adjoining Scandal Point sit right above Mall Road and are the easiest photo stops in town.

In the afternoon, drive out to Kufri. This small hill station is where the adventure add-ons are: horse rides up to the viewpoint, plus seasonal, weather-dependent activities like tobogganing and go-karting (paid). Continue a little further to Fagu, a quiet village with apple orchards and valley views, and stop at the Indira Gandhi Holiday Home. On the way back, shop and eat along Mall Road before returning to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Naldehra, Mashobra and departure

After breakfast, check out and drive to Naldehra and Mashobra. Naldehra, about 22 km from Shimla, is known for its nine-hole golf course, one of the oldest in India, laid out among tall deodar cedars. Mashobra is the quieter of the two, an orchard village with forest walks and the Durga (Mahakali) temple. Take a slow walk through the gardens and plantations. If you have the time and energy, the ridgeline above, near Shali peak, makes a short trek.

From here you begin your return. Drive back to Shimla, reach the bus stand, and board your Volvo coach to Delhi. Your trip ends with a set of easy hill memories and, if the season is right, a little snow.
