Yes. Three nights and four days is enough to see Shimla town and its two most popular excursions, Kufri and Naldehra, at a relaxed pace, which is exactly what this itinerary covers. If you want to add Chail, the Kalka-Shimla toy train as a round trip, or a Manali extension, four to six nights gives you the room. For a first visit focused on Shimla itself, 3N4D is a comfortable length.
How do I reach Shimla from Delhi or Chandigarh?
From Delhi it is about 343 kilometres and seven to eight hours by road through Chandigarh and Kalka. From Chandigarh it is about 113 kilometres and three and a half to four hours. You can also take a broad-gauge train to Kalka and change to the Kalka to Shimla toy train for the last stretch. This package covers your transfers and sightseeing from arrival in Shimla; your train or flight to the region is booked separately.
Does this Shimla package include the Kalka to Shimla toy train?
The standard itinerary begins at Shimla railway station, the upper end of the Kalka to Shimla line, and does not include a toy train ticket by default. Many travellers love the heritage ride, so it can be added as a Kalka to Shimla or Shimla to Kalka leg for an extra charge.
