Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1 in Pattaya: arrival, optional Coral Island day, Alcazar Show

You land at Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok, where the agent's representative meets you and drives you straight to your Pattaya hotel (about two hours, roughly 150 km). As booked, the rest of the day is yours to settle in and relax by the beach. If you would rather make it an active day, this is the slot for the Coral Island (Koh Larn) speedboat trip: a short ride from Bali Hai Pier out to white-sand beaches for snorkelling, parasailing, jet ski and banana-boat rides. Families with younger kids often swap it for the Sanctuary of Truth, an all-teak carved temple on the coast. In the evening you head to the Alcazar Show, a colourful cabaret that runs through Thai culture and history, then back to the hotel for the night.

Day 2, Bangkok: transfer, Madame Tussauds, SEA LIFE Ocean World

After breakfast you check out and drive to the capital, Bangkok. The included city tour takes in SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World, one of Southeast Asia's largest aquariums, where kids can walk the underwater tunnel past sharks, rays and hundreds of marine species, and Madame Tussauds, the wax museum with film stars, athletes and world leaders. Day 3 in Bangkok: city time, optional floating market

A slower day. After a hearty hotel breakfast, the plan is leisure: browse the street markets, ride a river boat, or eat your way through Bangkok's food stalls. Families who want more structure add the Damnoen Saduak floating market in the morning, where vendors sell fruit, noodles and souvenirs from wooden boats, or a half-day at Safari World and Marine Park for the animal shows. Evening is free, then back to the hotel.

Day 4, Bangkok: departure

Your 3 nights 4 days family trip winds down. Enjoy a final breakfast at the Bangkok hotel, check out, and transfer to the airport for your flight home. If your flight is later in the day, ask your agent about a short stop at Sriracha Tiger Zoo on the way, an easy add-on for families with kids.
