Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Manali and half-day sightseeing
Your trip begins with the transfer from Chandigarh up to Manali, roughly 310 km along the Kiratpur, Bilaspur, Mandi and Kullu highway. On arrival you go straight to your hotel for check-in and a short rest before an easy half-day of sightseeing. First stop is the holy Hadimba Devi Temple, set among tall deodars, where many couples come to seek blessings. From there you continue to Vashisht village and temple, where a dip in the natural hot water springs is the local way to wash off the journey. The rest of the loop covers Van Vihar, the Manali market, The Mall Road and the Tibetan Monastery. The evening is free for you to wander the market at your own pace. A candlelight dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel close the day.
Day 2: Solang Valley, Atal Tunnel and Rohtang Pass
After a filling breakfast you head out for the big mountain day. Solang Valley, about 14 km from town, is the adventure hub of Manali and the base for paragliding, zorbing, a ropeway ride and, in season, skiing and snow scooter rides (payable on the spot). From here the route runs to the Atal Tunnel, the world's longest highway tunnel above 10,000 feet at roughly 9 km long, which drops you into the Sissu and Lahaul side for wide snow views. You then proceed towards Rohtang Pass, a high mountain pass known for its year-round snow, subject to permit and road availability. Activities such as skiing, a snow scooter ride and horse riding are available here at your own expense. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Rohtang note: The National Green Tribunal caps vehicles to Rohtang Pass at 1,200 per day (800 petrol taxis and 400 diesel taxis), so waiting time depends on availability. A Rohtang permit fee of about Rs 550 applies where required, and any such cost is payable on the spot at the time of travel.
Day 3: Naggar, and an optional Kullu-Manikaran day
Breakfast is followed by a full day around Naggar village, the old capital of the Kullu valley. You visit Naggar Castle, a 15th-century stone-and-wood fort that is now a heritage hotel and holds a small Nicholas Roerich art connection, along with a shawl factory, the Gauri Shankar temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, and the Jagatsukh temple. Couples who would rather trade Naggar for more valley time can swap in a Kullu and Manikaran day trip instead: the Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara and its sulphur hot springs, plus white-water river rafting on the Beas near Kullu and Pirdi when the river is running. Tell your agent which version you want when you customise. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Departure to Chandigarh
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and check out from the hotel. Our representative transfers you by private cab to the Volvo station, from where you board your coach back to Chandigarh, carrying the trip home with you.
Places and Experiences Covered
Every couple picks a slightly different Manali. Here is what the classic 3N/4D circuit from Chandigarh puts within reach, with the practical detail you actually need on the day.
Hadimba Devi Temple
The most visited spot in Manali and a favourite first stop for couples. The four-storey wooden temple sits in a cedar forest about 2.5 km from the town centre and is known for its unusual architecture and its fierce local folklore. There is no entry fee, and the temple is open from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Solang Valley, Atal Tunnel and Rohtang Pass
Solang Valley is where the snow-day photos happen: paragliding and zorbing in summer, skiing and snow scooters in winter, all payable on the spot. The Atal Tunnel has changed this day for good, cutting the old Rohtang haul into a quick drive to the Lahaul side and its Sissu snow points. Rohtang Pass itself stays on the plan for couples who want the high-altitude crossing, subject to the daily permit cap.
Naggar Castle and Gauri Shankar Temple
Naggar Castle dates to about 1460 AD, built by Raja Sidh Singh, and later became a heritage hotel; entry is around Rs 15 and it is open through the day. Just below it, the small Gauri Shankar Temple in Shikhara style is a protected monument dedicated to Lord Shiva, with no entry fee.
Kullu and Manikaran (optional)
An easy swap on Day 3 for couples who want water and warmth over castles: the Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara sits over natural sulphur hot springs, and the Beas near Kullu and Pirdi offers graded river rafting when the season allows.
How To Reach Manali From Chandigarh
Manali is roughly 310 km from Chandigarh and there is no airport or railway station in Manali itself, so most couples arrive by road. Here is how the three options compare.
| Mode | Route and distance | Time | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| By road (cab or Volvo) | Chandigarh to Manali via Kiratpur, Bilaspur, Mandi, Kullu, about 310 km | 8 to 9 hours | Included in this package; overnight Volvo and private cabs both run this route |
| By rail | Nearest broad-gauge railheads are Chandigarh and Kiratpur Sahib; onward by road | Rail to Chandigarh, then 8 to 9 hr road | No direct train to Manali |
| By air | Bhuntar (Kullu) airport, about 50 km from Manali | About 1.5 hr road from Bhuntar | Limited flights; most travellers still prefer the road journey |

| 30 days or more before departure | Refund minus a small booking or processing fee |
| 15 to 29 days before departure | Part of the trip cost is retained |
| 7 to 14 days before departure | A larger share of the trip cost is retained |

Why Book This Manali Honeymoon Package
At Rs 13,999 per person this package sits a little above the bare taxi-only rates you will see advertised, and that gap is deliberate. You are booking three nights in a curated 3-star hotel rather than a basic room, private-cab sightseeing on every day instead of a shared coach, breakfast and dinner both included, and honeymoon touches that make the trip feel like one: a candlelight dinner, a cake, and a decorated room on arrival. Every day is customisable by phone, so you can swap Naggar for a Kullu-Manikaran run, add a night, or change hotels without starting over.
TravelTriangle has served more than 19,700 travellers for Himachal and works through a network of 650-plus verified local agents under stringent quality control, so you compare real quotes from vetted operators rather than gambling on a single listing. For the full sweep of couple-friendly options you can also compare our Manali honeymoon packages and read the wider Himachal travel guide for the season-by-season detail.
