Why a Kasol and Manali Honeymoon Works

Most Kasol honeymoon packages you will find online are really Kasol, Kheerganga and Tosh trekking trips, which is a lot of walking for a honeymoon. This one keeps the best of the Parvati Valley but does not ask you to sleep in a tent. The single Kasol night gives you the pine forests, the green river and a short, easy walk to Chalal across the footbridge. Manikaran, four kilometres up the road, has hot sulphur springs and a Sikh gurudwara that runs a free langar cooked over the springs. Then you shift base to Manali, which is set up for couples in a way Kasol is not: riverside hotels, the cafe lanes of Old Manali, Hadimba's cedar temple, and day trips to the snow at Solang and beyond the Atal Tunnel. Two very different valleys in five days, one romantic and unhurried, is the whole point.

Day-Wise Itinerary

Day 1: Delhi to Kasol, into the Parvati Valley

You are picked up in Delhi and driven up towards the hills. The road follows the Beas after Mandi, past Sundernagar Lake and the Pandoh Dam, before turning off at Bhuntar into the Parvati Valley. You reach Kasol by evening and check in for the night. If there is light left, walk the ten to fifteen minutes across the river to Chalal, a tiny forest hamlet on the far bank, which is about as gentle and pretty as a first evening gets. Dinner and overnight in Kasol at Hukam's Holiday Home (or similar).

Day 2: Kasol, Manikaran hot springs, then on to Manali

After breakfast, drive the short stretch to Manikaran. The gurudwara here sits over natural hot springs hot enough to cook in, and the community kitchen serves a free langar to everyone; the Ram temple and the steaming ghats are a few minutes' walk. Couples with the legs for it can add a half-day up to Tosh, the last village on the Parvati road, for the wide valley views, though it is optional and adds driving time. By afternoon you leave the valley and drive north to Manali, roughly 75 km along the Beas, checking in for a three-night stay. Dinner and overnight in Manali at Mountain Green Villa Hotel (or similar).

Day 3: Manali local, Hadimba and Old Manali

A relaxed sightseeing day. Visit the Hadimba Devi temple, a 16th-century wooden shrine in a cedar grove, the Vashisht village hot-water springs and temple, Van Vihar by the river, and the Tibetan monastery. The Mall Road and IBEX Market are good for an unhurried afternoon of shopping. Keep the evening for Old Manali, where the riverside cafes above the Manalsu stream are the most romantic corner of town for a slow dinner. Overnight in Manali.

Day 4: Snow day, Solang Valley and the Atal Tunnel to Sissu

The excursion day. You drive up to Solang Valley for the meadow and, in season, the ropeway and snow activities, then either continue to Rohtang Pass (3,978 m / 13,050 ft) when it is open, or cross the Atal Tunnel to Sissu on the Lahaul side, where the snow point and the waterfall make an easy couple's outing without the Rohtang permit crowd. Skiing, a snow-scooter ride and horse riding are available at your own cost. Back to Manali for your last mountain night. Overnight in Manali.

Day 5: Manali to Delhi, departure

After breakfast, check out and transfer back to Delhi airport or railway station for your onward flight or train, the Parvati and Beas valleys behind you.

Romantic and Honeymoon Inclusions

Best Time to Visit Kasol and Manali

March to June is the easy honeymoon window: the Parvati Valley is green, Manali is pleasant, and Solang and Rohtang open up for snow as the season warms. September and October give you clear post-monsoon valleys and thinner crowds, which many couples prefer. December to February is for those who want snow above all else; Solang and the Atal Tunnel to Sissu are your reliable snow-points then, while Rohtang usually stays shut through winter. The monsoon weeks of July and August can bring landslides on the valley roads, so build in buffer time if you travel then.

How to Reach Kasol and Manali from Delhi

This package includes all the transfers, so reaching either hill station is handled once you are picked up in Delhi. For reference, the nearest airport to both is Bhuntar (Kullu-Manali), about 31 km short of Kasol and roughly 50 km short of Manali. By road, Manali is around 535 km from Delhi, an overnight drive of 12 to 14 hours up NH-3, with the Parvati Valley turn-off at Bhuntar for Kasol. Most couples come up on an overnight Volvo or a private cab from Delhi, both of which we can arrange as part of the trip.

Cancellation and Booking Policy

You book with a part-payment to confirm, and the balance is due before you travel; your co-ordinator shares the exact schedule when you customise the trip. Cancellations are handled on a sliding scale, so the earlier you tell us, the smaller the deduction, and cancellations close to the travel date or during peak snow season carry a higher charge because hotel and transport bookings are already locked. Snow-closures on Rohtang and the high passes are weather-driven and not a cancellation reason; in that case the itinerary is re-routed (usually the Atal Tunnel to Sissu snow-point) rather than cancelled.
