Ladakh is at a very high altitude and anyone travelling 10,000 meters above sea level is bound to encounter breathing problems. Travellers may also suffer from to high altitude sickness which happens due to low level of atmospheric oxygen. Hence, with necessary safety measures must be taken one can travel the region without much difficulty. Travellers should give enough time to their body to acclimatize to the weather and drink a lot of water to remain hydrated.
