Shruti's 8 days trip to Sri Lanka

Hotels were overall good. Hotel staff was helpful. We were promised car with sufficient boot space to accomodate luggages as well as baby stroller. However, it was a struggle to fit eveything into the boot of the assigned car. Travel time was way too long compared to what was mentioned in the itinerary. Due to which, there was hardly any time left to explore cities Kandy/Dambulla on the day of arrival. There wasnt a single day that we left hotel after arriving which means driver was free after 5/6 and we managed dinners on our own. The driver was reluctant to bring us out for dinner and suggested to take an auto-rickshaw. Price list shared for attractions was not latest and verified. When questioned, we were told that those are non peak rates. Why would you provide non peak rate list to someone who is travelling during peak period. We liked our hotels especially at Kandalama , Yala and Bentota. Nuwara Eliya hotel could have been better.

This was our first family international trip and the experience was wonderful...Nushida from Direct link helped us plan this really well and was prompt in responding to our queries. Kashish got us a good airfare deal. The best part was Atheek the driver cum guide who ensured we covered the right places at the right time. He was with us during the entire trip taking care of smallest of our needs. This trip would have been incomplete without his support.

Singapore and Malaysia Trip Our recent trip to Singapore and Malaysia, organized through Sahring Travels, was a mixed experience, with both positives and areas for improvement. Initial Arrangements: We received several quotations and finalized the agency after much deliberation. However, after making the first payment, we were informed that an additional 5% GST had to be paid, which was unexpected and not communicated earlier. Flights: We booked our flights through agent only, but the outbound flight was postponed (domestic) leaving us with minimal time to board the international flight during the check in process prior to 48 hours. I faced an ordeal of connecting with Air India support for over 14 hours to resolve the issue, which I had to manage entirely by myself. Hotels: The hotel accommodation was average in Singapore and very good in Malaysia Singapore Experience: The trip to Singapore was well-coordinated, and I would like to appreciate Ridhi for her excellent support and coordination. However, during the city tour, the driver for Days 2 and 3 was quite authoritative and did not stop at key attractions like Chinatown and Mariamman Temple, as promised. Instead, he halted at a gift shop for over 30 minutes, which was unnecessary and a waste of time. This sentiment was echoed by other families who traveled with us. Malaysia Experience: Our road trip from Singapore to Malaysia was disappointing. The bus was uncomfortable, leading to body aches and fever upon arrival at KL Berjaya bus station. To make matters worse, we were stranded for nearly 90 minutes without a cab, and the agent at malaysia was unresponsive. We had to arrange transportation to the hotel at our own expense. Additionally, we were initially informed that KL Tower tickets were included in the itinerary. However, the agent later charged us around ₹7,000, claiming there was a fee change from December 1st. Upon verifying online and at the ticket desk, the ticket prices were significantly lower (₹1,718 for adults and ₹1,012 for children). This discrepancy was frustrating and felt like a lack of transparency. Meals: We were informed that meals were pre-booked on both flights. However, no meals were provided on the return flight from Kuala Lumpur, adding to the list of inconsistencies. Overall Experience: Singapore: 8/10 – Well-planned and enjoyable, except for the guide/driver issues during the city tour. Malaysia: 5/10 – Poor coordination, lack of transparency, and uncomfortable travel. Flights: 6/10 – Lack of support and unfulfilled promises regarding meals. While we enjoyed parts of the trip, particularly in Singapore, the overall experience was marred by poor communication, discrepancies in the itinerary, and subpar arrangements in Malaysia. Improvements in transparency and coordination are essential for future travelers.

We had a very happy experience visiting Sri Lanka. Sri Y should be on the top of the list of tourist destinations. In one trip you can enjoy the diversity of the its rich landscape. Awesome heritage sites with breathtaking beaches. Great people with so much discipline, very little noise. Truly a beautiful experience. Tropical Ceylon was very helpful, gave us a very good chauffeur,(Shivantha)he was very friendly and knowledgeable , made us feel at home, Travel triangle people were ok, but should be little proactive when the trip is nearing, there was no call from them, I tried to but couldn't contact Pooja, there was not a single call from tropical triangle before the trip started or ended, , Skylight hotel and Kamil beach villa were excellent, remaining hotels ok, some how tropical Ceylon people got it all right, and the trip went smoothly. Thank you Sri Lanka, you gave us very fond memories Dr.Satish Chandra

The experience for some of the hotels was not good. I thought the agent Tropical Ceylon took us for granted in some of the hotels. The service of the hotels along with their locations was not up to the mark. In fact they didn't even seemed to belong to the category of 4 stars. I think u need to review the hotel category offered to us in yala and Bentota.
