Imran's 6 days trip to Kerala

House boat in aleppey was a big disappointment, what we see in pictures and what we recieved is totally different. There were six families in sharing boat and the only 3 staff who don't understand English or Hindi. The food provided was bad and by the time we went for taking food some items were over . The driver: his duty of dropping at the required place was done promptly. We had a kid of 5 who was having vomiting sensation due to the ghat road, irrespective of noticing this he didn't halt anywhere. His primary duty was to drive non stop n drop us. Aranyaka Resort was good.

The best part of the tour was Driver provided to us, he has all the knowledge of good vegetarian hotels during the trip. The hotels provided were also good. Overall it was a worthy trip The Driver He knew everything about our places, Munnar, Thekkady, Alleppey, Kovalam and Trivendrum. He knew exactly where to go for vegetarian food. He was very calm and humble. Played Hindi songs for us. Great Experience

Houseboat washroom floor tiles are coming out and water is not coming proper on tap. Food was very normal and we have requested for paneer vegetable and they have denied to prepare it. They haven't taken houseboat in morning for 1 hour in backwater as well. Munnar and Kovalam are the best place to visit.

I had 5 days trip.. i) Munnar:--The Trivers Resort in Munnar is a good resort but the approach road is very bad due to construction going on. The sight seeing at Munnar was awesome. ii) Thekkedy:-The Wildernest resort in Thekkedy is having very limited options in food. The rooms are nice but the open space in the resort is very less to roam around or to chill. One suggestion to the travel Triangle is that , please inform the travellers about the boating booking in advance in peak seasons as I did not get the ticket for boating as it was Christmas period. The Online booking option was not told to me and the window booking was closed during that period. So I could not enjoy the boating . https://www.periyartigerreserve.org/Program/60b3aabd4ae36f35bd1f168f is the site for booking. iii) Alleppey:- The Arcadia regency is an average hotel and the restaurant staff is very ill-mannered. The attitude is very bad and gave the feedback to the hotel manager as well. Please think before having your stay in this hotel. Overall the trip was nice as Kerala is a beautiful place for sight seeing and greenery. The Cab driver was also very polite and friendly person and helped us managing language problem at places.

Houseboat is not hygiene and average , we requested our agent that we want a good houseboat but it was not the case. Travel agent(Ankit Saha - agent from explore world) did not took the responsibility at all and never answered our calls post payment made. We specifically asked and spoke to the Agent we don’t Want to see cockroaches/lizards, stinking smell in bathrooms and bedrooms…unfortunately we have experienced all these and agent was least bothered to answer our calls. How cheap he is. Crown villas hotel Thekkady - Overall hotel and food is nice. The room allocated to us is totally worst and zero star from me. Waterfalls, sightseeing in Munnar and off-road trips are amazing. Misty mountain Munnar hotel - Hills and clouds view is excellent from this hotel. Udaya samudram - beach view is amazing and food is excellent and happy with hospitality.

More than a review it is a constructive feedback. Travel triangle might want to enhance their work force to attend to the customer calls in emergency. I would say my experience with travel triangle as a platform was not so rewarding. Regarding the travel agent. They are a new team, who are learning with time. Our group was probably the first time the travel agents were handling a booking of this scale. With the initial hiccup of erroneous booking in a substandard hotel, they were quick to rectify their mistake and book an alternative better property. Special kudos to Madam Ritu Patra from Sunshine Vacations and Tourism, who was constantly in touch with us to make sure that our journey was going fine and was hassle free. However, I felt that there needs to be a better communication between the travel agent and the customer. A few instances: 1) We were not aware about the timings of availability of Chef at the Hotel in Cherai and Houseboat. The menu was limited. Though the property in Cherai, Sapphire Club Beach Resort, was excellent in terms of stay. The best part in House Boat was the food. 2) We were not aware about unavailability of Dinner facility in 'Hostess Thekkady' on Diwali evening. You don't want such hassles on a trip with elderly people along. Another important feedback is that, I would suggest guests to go for a good resort/ hotel in Alleppey instead of overnight stay at the House Boat. The quality of furnishing and Linen is not upto the mark in a typical Deluxe House Boat. Instead, one can choose evening and and morning rides to experience the backwaters. I too learnt as a guest. I would suggest travellers to research their stay arrangements adequately to have clarity on facilities they can expect at various properties. Thanks Waterfalls in Munnar, Stay at Cardamom County at Thekkady, Stay at Cherai Beach

Rahul from Explore Travels was very helpful. There were few issues with the hotels but he resolved it immediately. Driver Praveen was very rude and was not informative at all. In Munnar, my kids were having nausea due to mountain roads and he made us clean his car by water and tissues multiple times and he was not ready to open the windows saying that I am a full time AC driver and we should have selected non AC driver. In Kanyakumari he just left us at one place and said to ask the local people to guide us the places to visit. He did not guide us anything about Kerela as it was our first trip to Kerela. Due to kids we skipped many places, instead asked him to take us to market for shopping but he denied in Munnar as well as in Trivandrum. However we enjoyed our trip. Alleppy houseboat experience was very good. Apart from Driver every thing was amazing. Recommend Explore travels for future trips. Rahul from Explore Travels was very helpful. Just finished my much-awaited Kerala Trip covering Kochi, Munnar, Thekkadi and Alleppey on a positive note. As every trip there are good things and things which can be improved. I would like to share my experience and feedback for Comfort Destination Pvt Ltd with a big thanks. Highlights – Flights tickets suggested and arranged as per the trip plan to avoid wait time. Resort booked at Munnar (Aranyaka Resorts) provided the kind of scenic beauty I was looking for along with lip smacking food. The houseboat experience was awesome. Captain and Cook extended all their support and make us feel at home. I must say the food served in the boat is to die for. All items prepared as per taste. Fish fry and Chicken curry will be in the tastebuds for quite some time. Stay at Kochi, just one word – WOW. Cherai Beach Resort is right in front of beach and gives you opportunity to experience the nature at its best. Things which could have been done better – Hotel at Thekkady (Woodnote) was good but could have been better as I didn’t like the location as well as food. Houseboat was quite old with maintenance required. A neater and cleaner Houseboat would have made our Alleppey experience best. The biggest challenge I had is with Cab Driver. This is the one thing which once gone wrong can spoil your entire trip and mood. I was in the same state at the last day of my trip. Sightseeing included places which were closed or not in action (like waterfalls) should have been called out in the plan. Driver should also inform this upfront rather than waiting for us to ask about the places. Lesson Learnt – Clearly understand the terms and conditions for the cab and driver – like KM limits, operating timings, how flexible they are to accommodate your special request occasionally beyond their operating hours. What if you have special places to visit not included in the attractions etc. Na
