Ladakh is a high altitude tourist place so it’s recommendable for tourists to stay hydrated and well food consumed before they start their journey inside Ladakh. One of the most majestic and beautiful places on the Earth. Ladakh is not a very old place on the Earth, it’s only a few million years old and still a place of wonders. It is bounded by two highest mountain ranges called the Himalaya Mountains and Karakorum Mountains. It has 2 districts which are Leh and Kargil. Ladakh has an altitude of 9000ft at Kargil to 25,170ft at Saser Kangri. It’s so high that the atmosphere of Ladakh can give to sunburn and frostbite at the same time.

People of Ladakh are ethnically different and mixed of Mangoloid, Dardic and Indo-Aryan. They speak different languages such as purgi, Shina, and Urdu/Hindi. The most famous soft stuff for clothes and shawls called Pashmina or Cashmere is transferred from here and then shifted to Kashmir and other areas.

Ladakh has become the trade route between Punjab and Central Asia. Many traders used this path as a trade route to transfer goods for centuries. Ladakh is also attached to Tibetan culture and people. Best time that you can visit Ladakh is in summer. You will enjoy a maximum of 27 degrees of temperature even in summer. Shantanuk's 8 days trip to Ladakh

Overall trip arrangements were good with some uncertainty which should have been intimated and handled better by tour agent. Hitels: I'm mostly happy with hotel selection throughout the trip in Leh, Nubra & Pangong except Kargil. Kargil Heights location, accomodation, food is not upto the mark. Cab & Driver: I'm mostly happy with both drivers. They were very friendly, helpful and moreover reliable throughout. My 1st cab Xylo condition wasn't good. We had to deal with risks like door lock, punctures etc. I was missing the guide in driver though unless I keep asking questions. Usually they seem to be just driver who knows the routes and not a guide who can suggest or proactively share some information. Travel Agent: Shyam from Amazing Tours & Travel was always reachable and connected to me whenever required right from planning, execution and end of the trip. He got my 2nd cab arranged for Kargil trip without my intervention. My only ask is for the Travel Agent is to recommend client for alternative arrangements for return flight based on time/ mode of the travel as the weather conditions were really uncertain. I had to cancel my return ticket from Srinagar to Bangalore as we had to cancel the Srinagar trip as the Zojila pass was closed due to snow. I had to arrange flight ticket again from Leh to Bangalore. I didn't get any refund for Srinagar hotels and Shikara though. I expected Travel agent to ensure refundable accommodations in case of unforeseen situations. Otherwise why someone should go for a travel agent when nowadays most of the travel portals are providing free cancellation of hotels upto checkin or 24 hours mostly with same or lesser price as I checked. Hotel prices from travel agent were also lil higher side without any cancellation option as I had to go for one day accomodation seperately in Leh due to plan change I had to enquire with hotel directly and found the price differences. Snow capped Khardungla Pass & Changla Pass. Journey from Leh to Kargil along Indus River.

Previously with TravelTriangle it has been an amazing experience, so in this trip also we were expecting it to be similar. Unfortunately, few of the hotels which we got were not upto the mark. One of our hotel got cancelled and they offered different hotel for us in Leh (Sangalay Palace), which was really good in everything but this happiness couldn't last for long time. Because the Lake View Cottage which we got in pangong lake was not that great but the staff was really helpful. The same thing happened in Leh too, after returning to Leh we were expecting a good hotel similar to Sangalay. But the Golden Apricot which we got in Leh was not satisfying in anything, be it cleaneliness or staff behavior. When we woke in the morning for departure nobody was there for checkout even after informing them on the previous night. And in Nubra we had got The real Siachen Hotel, which was on the average side but the hotel staff and food was good, specially ChachuRam Ji. Who helped us with everything, be it food or hot water. This wouldn't complete if we dont mention about our Driver Joldan Uncle with more than 35 years of driving experience in Ladakh. And also our vehicle which got upgraded from Xylo to Innova Crysta was very good and comfortable for ladakh roads. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our each and every bit of this trip. Thank you Sushant and Bhavna for all the arrangements and support.

Loved the trip and the arrangements done. Its just that the driver is not ready to be there even till 7 o clock in the evening. He was ready to leave us in the mid of market and was asking us to come to hote via cab. If we were gonna use the cab, what was the point of having a car? Very bad experience wrt to the driver. Pangong was awesome.

The hotel at Leh was average in service. Food service was very slow and we had to wait to 40-45 minutes for the food. The hotel and Hunder was good. The hotel at Pangong was excellent. the hotel at Tso Moriri was the worst hotel I have ever stayed. The room was very small. On king size bed, queen size mattress was there and my legs were going out of the mattress. Also they didn’t even provide water in the room. Food quality was also the worst among all hotels. Hot water was also provided late than they promised. The tour agent was good. But he showed a little lack of interest after being paid fully. The driver was excellent. Overall an average trip. I will give 2.5/5.

Initially the tempo from Chandigarh to Manali was bad! I understand that because of last mins issues on the route we had to get another tempo which was bad However, the next tempo from Manali to Leh - the driver was rude and not at all friendly. He drove in a way where all 10 people in the tempo were scared. Very rash driving. He spoke very bad with us and argued all the time. We were on a family trip including women where he must understand to stop for basic nature calls. He was very hesitant and he was rude with all of us along the way to Leh. Destination hotel Leh fort view here he had to drop us , he said we usually only drop at the bus stand we don't drop at hotel. Pathetic service by the tempo driver. Would never ever book any trip if this is the driver we are getting.

Overall it was well managed and smooth. The information, booking vouchers was sent on time. The booking and flexibility provided during and on the trip was good. We were well informed about the necessary information/ permits in advance. A. Sangaylay- The hotel was good and considerate. They helped us with getting a temp room till we could actually check in to rest. The rooms were clean and staff was courteous and prompt and went all the way to make our stay comfortable. The food served was good and fresh with variety. B. Organic boutique- Considering it was a remote location the tent stay was fine. The food was strictly okay but experience was fine overall. C. Pangong vista - The room provided was good. The food was with variety even though it was remote location. The view from the hotel is beautiful and has direct access to lake. D. Tsomoriri lake view- Though given the benefit of doubt the area is secluded, the room was not that well maintained (it was dusty). The food was delicious and hotel staff made all the attempts to serve us hot and fresh food. E. Grand Yasmin - the rooms were strictly okay. The hotel was stuffy and food was below average. The only good point was it was 2-3 min walking distance from the market. Driver- Lobzang was courteous and understanding. He was always smiling and was a safe driver. He was always keen in showing us places and suggesting us the good places to eat. Always prompt and available. He deserved and got Pat on the back. Shefali was considerate and helped us in getting the choice of hotels. She was flexible in getting us done with minor tweaks we needed in the itinerary last min.Apart from one confusion with Leh sight seeing it was all good. Special thanks to you for being approachable and for checking on us throughout the trip. Will not only book it from you again but will also recommended Tripita in our network.

Pranab's 9 days trip to Ladakh

Our Trip to Kashmir was divided into two parts: Srinagar and Ladakh. I will be reviewing both parts. We had a tour of 9 days in which we here serviced by two different Tour Operators: "See Kashmir Travels" in Srinagar & "Pristine Travels" in Ladakh. During the tour, we stayed at 7 hotels/tents. Our field agent at Srinagar, Mr. Shabir was a great guy. He was not only welcoming but was flexible with all our plans. He was following up with our driver and also asked the driver to take us to few more tourist spots that were not included in the itinerary. During his tenure, we stayed at 02 hotels and a houseboat, all of which were awesome and we had a memorable stay. We were two couples and the vehicle provided was a Tavera. The driver, Mr. Iqbal, was a well behaved-professional guy. We were enjoying each moment of this trip and often spent some extra time at the spots, to which he never uttered a word and was considerate enough to extend his service by few more hours than assigned. Coming to Ladakh, we realized how the mood of the trip depends on the tour operator. On arriving in Ladakh, we were taken to a hotel that had nothing but a platter of disappointments. On informing the same to our Amazing Routes agent, Mr. Priyanshu Das, who was an awesome guy and was always available for our support, our stay was changed the next day to "Jeevanam Villa" which was magnificent. Meanwhile, we also received a call from the field agent, I don't remember his name as we had conversed only that day and that too he was saying that 'Aapko Leh me aise hi hotels milenge'. The hotel was a mess. The tiles in the bathroom were broken, the bathroom was not cleaned properly, and the food-it was a nightmare. And to add to it, the driver who was also supposed to be the guide, was one horrible person. He didn't know anything about any places plus always had a grumpy face in addition to being rude. Every time we went to any spot, he used to come before us after few minutes and ask us to proceed to the next spot as it will become late. He was doing it throughout the trip and used to get us back at the hotel by 3-4 PM. After 02 days, we talked to Mr. Priyanshu regarding this after which the driver was like "aapko jaha jitna time lena h, le lo". I know this is a long post, but I wanted to convey to the Travel Triangle & Amazing Routes Teams that kindly refrain from these types of agents as we were having at Leh, they only spoil the trips which in turn may reduce your customer base. If we would have taken a trip only to Ladakh, we would never have booked any further trips with Travel Triangle.
