Vina's 14 days trip to Bhutan

Our recently undertaken 13 day long trip to Bhutan cocluded on 23rd 0October, 2019 with an exceptionally satisfying note. The entire credit for this goes to Mr. Guman Pradhan, Managing Director of Anwhere Bhutan Travels, our tour operator. We found Mr. Pradhan to be a suave, cordial, friendly, soft spoken, ever helpful and thoroughly professional gentleman who very meticulously, carefully and thoughtfully prepared an itinerary for us that not only completely met our needs and requirements as also our special needs regarding good hotel stay and comforts in terms of our being senior citizens but also suited to our budget. Our transfers and travels in Bhutan have been perfect, smooth and hassle free. Airport pick up from Bagdogra and back was arranged in an Innova as per our wish. The travels within Bhutan were in a comfortable , spacious SUV again as per our requirement. Mr. Pradhan, Managing Director, Anywhere Bhutan took special pains to arrange for our hotel accommodation everywhere which were of a high standard suited to our requirement, they were spic and span and hospitality was great, staff behavior and service was top notch giving us no reason to complain, never. On our request for a good driver, he assured us he would accede. True to his word, Mr. Pradhan deputed Mr. Raj to be our driver for the whole Bhutan trip. Mr. Raj the driver is soft spoken, sweet, friendly, genuinely helpful and amicable with a good knowledge of Bhutan and its tourist places and museums and at times acted as a guide enabling us to know extra interesting facts about a place or places. With his help and interest, we got to see some places that were off the beaten track. But most of all he is an excellently perfect, confident, sensible and efficient driver. This immensely helped our Bhutan travel to be thoroughly hassle free and enjoyable at the same time. As I said , we didn't have to face any problem at any point during the trip and Mr. Pradhan, our tour operator was available all the time with regular follow ups and helped us with whatever information we asked for. Anywhere Bhutan Travels and its Managing Directot, Mr. Guman Pradhan will be our first choice for any future trip to the mountain Kingdom. Overall, it was Mr. Pradhsn and the gem of an itinerary that he created for us in effect put, without an iota of doubt , our Bhutan visit in a A+++ category. Finally, dear Mr. Pradhan keep up the good work, and all the very best in your endeavours. Thanks.

Hotels provided were okay but all the Hotels were given at remote areas, away from the main town. Cab & Driver were okay but we had to pass through very anxious moments to get their details in time (especially for our pick up from Bagdogra). Further, we were brought from Thimpu to Phuentsholing in a Wagon R, while as per agreement, the Cab should have been either a Creta or Tucson in Bhutan. The services of Travel Agent were far below from expectations. Travel Triangle representative Ishveer Kaur was just unapproachable over mail or phone (emails to her returned undelivered and phone remain unanswered). The WhatsApp group created by Himavat Destination was highly irresponsive as all our queries in the group remained unanswered. Even we had to face immence anxiety and hardships in getting Permit at Phuentsholing since the representative of Himavat Destination looked ineffective and helpless. Had we not taken that much of trouble ourselves on 7th of October, 2019, our entire trip of Bhutan might be in doldrums since next three days the Immigration office at Bhutanwas closed on account of Festival. The only silverlining we found in Ms RINA THAPA, our Tour Coordinator from Himavat Destination stationed in Siliguri, who inspite of being on Medical leave, came for our rescue whenever we landed into problem and as & when things came to her knowledge. I can very well say that we could complete our Bhutan only due to her. Our best memories of the Trip were on a day in Paro, when we visited Chelela Pass and a day in Thimpu, when we visited Buddha Point, Hindu Temple and Tashichhoedzong (the seat of Government which houses Secretariat).

I see them (travel trainagle) as just mediator website with no/little knowledge on the destination you are choosing. All that they give you is their authorized vendors ( local travel agent partners) whom you can work with and adjust your trip accordinly. So if you are frequent travellers and you know the tips you could do it better by yourself. the local agent ( Backyard bhutan ) was very good and patient with all my question and set the plan to meet my expectation , but there is nothing much that travel traingle did when other vendors has not given any response.

We planned for a 10 day trip to Bhutan via Travel Triangle, and zeroed on Bhutan Old Monk Tours as our tour operator for this vacation. Right off the bat, support provided by Yadop and his team was exceptional. They answered all our queries, and tailor-made our package as per our requirements. He also especially came to meet us during our stay in Thimphu and was in-contact with us during our whole Tour. A special mention for Jeevan who was our tour guide, this trip wouldn't have been as memorable as it was if it weren't for him. All the best to Yadop and team for their future endeavors.

Esther's 7 days trip to Bhutan

My trip to Bhutan was very spontaneous. I had less than a week to plan the trip and make all my bookings. I decided to use travel triangle to find an agent as I just used the site before and was happy with the service. The first response I received was from the Bhutan Old Monk team and they were very prompt and helpful. As the trip was very last minute, I had just a few days to plan and arrange everything and the team especially Suman was really helpful with making changes to the itinerary as I needed. Suman was constantly in touch with me to ensure everything was going well. Even while on my vacation they were able to provide me with assistance when needed. Yadop met me on my first day in Bhutan. I requested him to change my hotel as the location wasn't convinient and he got it changed within a few hours. Jeewan was an exceptional driver/guide/photographer/genie (lol) throughout the trip. He was very helpful and even offered to drive me around in the evenings because I was travelling alone and he was afraid I would get bored. My solo trip turned out to be a lot less solo than expected but I really appreciated the hospitality. Bhutan is an amazing and wonderful country that I visited by chance because it was convince to travel to, required no visa and was completely safe for a woman traveling alone. I would encourage more Indian, solo, woman travelers to visit this beautiful country and experience the beauty and tranquility of the land of the thunder dragon!
