France is a well-connected destination and the public transport system is one of the best in the world. There are metros in all major cities and to travel around France, there are options of choosing between railway, plane, bus, and car.

Visa applications are only acceptable on an official form. There are two forms, depending on how long you intend to stay:

Always apply at the consulate of the major destination that you want to stay the longest at.

It will not be possible for a foreign national to get a French visa at an airport. Apply for a visa at the French diplomatic office, three months in advance.
