How To Reach Andaman From Vadodara

There is no direct flight from Vadodara (BDQ) to Port Blair, so every Vadodara itinerary connects through a larger airport, most commonly Ahmedabad or Mumbai. This package is planned around that routing so you do not have to piece the journey together yourself.

By air (recommended)

From Vadodara you fly to Ahmedabad (about 45 minutes, or a 1.5–2 hour drive) or Mumbai (about 1 hour 15 minutes), then connect to Port Blair's Veer Savarkar International Airport (IXZ) via Chennai, Kolkata or Delhi. Door-to-island time runs 8–11 hours including layovers, so most travellers leave Vadodara early morning. Flights into Port Blair are daytime-only (the airport does not handle night landings), which is why an early connection out of Gujarat matters.

By sea (budget / experience route)

Government passenger ships sail to Port Blair from Chennai, Visakhapatnam and Kolkata, taking around 3 days each way. From Vadodara you would still travel to one of those port cities first, so this route suits travellers with time to spare rather than a short island holiday, most Gujarat travellers fly both ways.

Day-By-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Port Blair, Corbyn's Cove & Cellular Jail

After your connecting flight via Ahmedabad or Mumbai lands at Veer Savarkar International Airport, our representative meets you and drives you to your Port Blair hotel for check-in. Once you have freshened up, you head to the Cellular Jail (Kala Pani), the colonial-era prison central to India's freedom struggle, and stay on for the evening light-and-sound show that narrates its history through the voices of the freedom fighters held there. If your flight lands early, you can add a relaxed walk at Corbyn's Cove Beach, the closest beach to the city, and a stroll around Aberdeen Bazaar before returning to the hotel for the night.

Day 2: Ferry to Havelock (Swaraj Dweep) & Radhanagar Beach

After breakfast and check-out, you transfer to the jetty for a catamaran ferry across to Havelock Island, now officially Swaraj Dweep, a crossing of about 1.5–2 hours. Once you've checked in to your Havelock hotel, the afternoon is for Radhanagar Beach (Beach No. 7), regularly ranked among Asia's finest beaches and famous for its wide white sand and clean, calm water. It is one of the best places in the islands to watch the sunset. Overnight in Havelock.

Day 3: Elephant Beach & return to Port Blair

Meals: breakfast · Stay: Port Blair · Sightseeing + ferry included

This morning is for Elephant Beach, reached by a short boat ride from Havelock, where the calm, shallow reef is ideal for snorkelling, the sea-walk and other water activities (paid on the spot). The clear blue water and coral make it the best spot on the trip to try snorkelling, even for first-timers. By evening you take the ferry back to Port Blair and check in for the night. If time allows, an optional sunset at Chidiya Tapu, the well-known sunset and birdwatching point about 25 km from the city, is an easy add-on. Overnight in Port Blair.

Day 4: Port Blair sightseeing & departure

After breakfast and check-out, there is time for a last visit to Corbyn's Cove Beach or some shopping at Aberdeen Bazaar and the Sagarika Government Emporium for shell craft and souvenirs, depending on your flight time. Our representative then transfers you to Veer Savarkar International Airport for your return flight, connecting back to Vadodara via Ahmedabad or Mumbai. Book your onward leg with a comfortable layover, as Port Blair flights depart in the daytime only.

The headline price of INR 21,410 per person is land-only, it covers your hotels, the Havelock ferry and all transfers, but not flights. For a Vadodara traveller the real all-in cost is the land package plus the Vadodara–Port Blair airfare, which varies by season. Below is how the tiers compare (figures per person, twin-sharing):

Add the Vadodara–Port Blair return airfare (around INR 12,000–22,000 pp depending on how early you book, the routing and the season) to get your all-in cost. Because Gujarat has no direct service, fares run higher than from Chennai or Kolkata, booking 6–8 weeks ahead and travelling in the shoulder months keeps this figure at the lower end. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Seafood is the local speciality, but a Gujarati vegetarian family will eat comfortably throughout the trip.
