Overview

Bandhavgarh has a rich historical past. Before declaring it as a national park, it was a forest known as a Shikargah or Game Drive. Bandhavgarh is located in the Umaria district of Eastern Madhya Pradesh. Covering an area of around 450sqkms it is home to a spectacular variety of flora and fauna.



The forest area forms a natural habitat for more than 250 species of birds and 22 species of animals. Vegetation includes thick grasslands and tall trees. The park is majorly inhabited by white tigers but it also provides shelter to several other Indian wild species like Cheetahs, Langurs, Bison and Sambars. Also, it has a large population of tigers.



The beautiful trees and grasslands of Bandhavgarh attract numerous tourists from all over the world. The park remains at its best during the spring season. The ideal time to explore wildlife in the park is from January to March. Bandhavgarh has no direct air connectivity, the nearest airport is at Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. On reaching to Jabalpur, one has to book a taxi to Umaria. The Bandhavgarh safari package includes an amazing wildlife jungle safari.

        The trip was wonderful, however there were some loopholes as well. The package was a little costly as per the services provided. Indore hotel was very nice and decent, but Ujjain hotel was not as I expected. Cab drivers were polite in nature but cooperation and coordination was missing. Overall it was a good trip.

        Overall Experience was good. Silver fall, Bee fall and visit to Mahadev was very nice. Hotel Highland was very good. But at my second stay Hotel Club view , services and amenities can be improved.

        Being a regular customer of TT, I haven't received any relaxation or cupon for this trip, Also the first hotel was as per expectations but the second hotel for stay was worst and TT has to first analyse such property before booking. For second hotel bad experience. The service Agent Ankush, the first hotel Ark Residency and the cab driver pankaj. Also the site seeing spots.
