Day 1: Chandigarh to Dalhousie, arrival and evening sightseeing

You meet our representative in the morning at your Chandigarh pickup point, whether that is the railway station, a bus stand, the airport or your hotel, and the driver takes you up to Dalhousie. After check-in and a short rest you head out for a first look around town: St Andrew's Church and the stone-built St John's Church, both mid-1800s missions, the tiered Panchpula water cascade fed by streams that supply the town, and the Subhash Baoli spring named after Subhas Chandra Bose, who spent time here. A short drive away, Satdhara Falls gathers seven mountain springs into one stream and is an easy add before dark. The evening is yours to wander Gandhi Chowk and the Mall Road market before dinner and the night at the hotel.

Day 2: Dalhousie to Khajjiar through Kalatop, and back

After breakfast you drive out to Khajjiar, about an hour away through the Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary, a deodar-and-oak forest that is worth a short nature walk among the cedars. Khajjiar itself is a saucer of grassland with a small lake at its centre, a floating island of matted weed on the water, a 9-hole golf course around the rim, and horse riding and zorbing for anyone who wants them, with a couple of dhaba-style restaurants for lunch. On the way back you can add Dainkund Peak, the highest point around Dalhousie at about 2,750 metres with a clear-day view over the valleys, or drop down to Chamera Lake for boating on the Ravi. You return to Dalhousie for a last look around town in the evening, then dinner at the hotel.

Day 3: Departure back to Chandigarh

After breakfast and checkout, our driver takes you back down to your drop point in Chandigarh, arriving with a couple of days of hill-station memories and, in season, a phone full of Khajjiar photos.

Both nights are in Dalhousie on a 3-star basis, with the base plan using a property near Gandhi Chowk on Khajjiar Road, close to the Mall Road walk. Room category can be upgraded on request, and the hotel is confirmed in writing with your final quote.

What is included and excluded

The quoted price of Rs 15,840 per person is on twin sharing in a 3-star hotel, struck through from Rs 17,217. Solo, triple, child and higher-category room rates are worked out on request, and any extra activity you add in Khajjiar, at Dainkund or on Chamera Lake is charged on top.

Cancellation and booking policy

Your booking is confirmed once the advance is paid, and the balance is due before you travel.
