Day 2: Atal Tunnel, Sissu and Solang Valley

After breakfast the cab climbs to the Atal Tunnel, the 9-km tunnel under the Rohtang range, and drops you at Sissu on the far side for the waterfall and the open Lahaul views most couples miss. On the way back, stop at Solang Valley for the ropeway and, in season, the snow. If Rohtang Pass is open and you hold a permit, we swap Solang for Rohtang instead.

Day 3: Naggar Castle and Old Manali cafes

Drive out toward Kullu to the 15th-century Naggar Castle, the Nicholas Roerich art gallery, and the quiet Gauri Shankar temple. Back in Manali, spend the afternoon in Old Manali: riverside cafes, a shawl or Kullu-cap stop, and an unhurried evening together.

Day 4: Departure

How to reach Manali from Pune

• By air. There are no direct Pune to Manali flights. Fly Pune to Delhi or Chandigarh (roughly Rs 3,500 to Rs 6,000 one way depending on dates), then it is a scenic road drive we arrange to Manali. Bhuntar, about 50 km from Manali, has limited flights.
• By road / Volvo. An overnight AC Volvo from Delhi reaches Manali in about 12 to 14 hours; couples usually fly Pune to Delhi and pick up the Volvo there. The full Pune to Manali drive is about 1,960 km and takes two days, best only if you want a road trip.
• By train. The nearest broad-gauge railheads are Chandigarh and Ambala; take a train from Pune, then a cab or Volvo onward to Manali.
