Manali honeymoon package from Bangalore: what this trip is
Manali sits at the head of the Kullu valley in Himachal Pradesh, with the Beas running beside the road and deodar forest climbing the slopes on both sides. For a couple leaving Bangalore, the appeal is the swing of it. You board a flight in the plains and, a mountain drive later, you are walking snow at over 3,000 metres. This 4 day, 3 night package keeps the pace easy for a honeymoon: a settled base in Manali, one full day up at the high passes, and a day across the valley at Naggar, with the long haul up from Delhi handled by an included overnight Volvo so it never eats into your time together.
The days are the classic couple mix. A slow morning around Hadimba Devi, the old cedar shrine in the forest above town, then the hot-spring village of Vashisht, the cafes and handloom shops of Old Manali, and an evening on Mall Road. One full day goes up the valley to Solang for the ropeway and paragliding, or further to Rohtang Pass for snow. Another runs across to Naggar for the old castle and a stretch of river rafting on the Beas. A complimentary candlelight dinner and room decoration come with the honeymoon booking. It is built to be shared, not rushed.
If you want to compare every Manali option leaving your city first, our Manali packages from Bangalore page lists the full range, and the Manali honeymoon collection covers longer and shorter couple trips.
How to reach Manali from Bangalore
There is no direct flight and no direct train from Bangalore to Manali, and Manali itself has no commercial airport. The nearest airstrip is Bhuntar, also called Kullu-Manali (code KUU), about 50 km short of town, but it takes only small aircraft on limited, weather-dependent routes. So almost every couple does it in two legs: a flight from Bangalore to Delhi, then the mountain drive that this package handles for you as an included overnight Volvo.
The common route is Bangalore (Kempegowda, BLR) to Delhi (DEL), a nonstop of roughly 2 hours 45 minutes, then Delhi to Manali by the included Volvo, around 530 km taken overnight in about 12 to 14 hours. A shorter mountain leg is to fly Bangalore to Chandigarh instead, then drive the 310 km up to Manali in about 8 to 9 hours. Trains only reach the plains: Bangalore to Delhi runs close to two days, and the nearest usable railheads are Chandigarh or the narrow-gauge line at Joginder Nagar, about 160 km from Manali. Because your Bangalore to Delhi ticket is your own booking, airfare sits in the exclusions, and our coach picks you up in Delhi.
Round-trip BLR to Delhi airfare runs about Rs 11,000 to Rs 20,000 per couple depending on how early you book and the season, and it is not included. Add that to the package and a Bangalore couple should budget roughly Rs 36,000 to Rs 46,000 all-in for the 4 day, 3 night trip before the extras you choose, such as the Rohtang permit, adventure activities at Solang, lunches and shopping. Booking the flight three to four weeks ahead is the single biggest saving on that band.
| Leg | Mode | Approx time | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bangalore to Delhi | Flight, nonstop | 2h 45m | Your own booking, not in the package |
| Delhi to Manali | Volvo coach | 12 to 14h | Included, taken overnight |
| Bangalore to Chandigarh then drive | Flight plus car | 3h air plus 8 to 9h road | Shorter mountain leg |
| Bangalore to Manali by rail | Train plus road | About 2 days | No direct train, via Delhi or Chandigarh |
Your 4-day, 3-night itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Manali and half-day local sightseeing
You reach Manali in the early morning off the overnight Volvo, and our driver transfers you to the hotel to freshen up. After a settling-in break you head out for a half-day loop around town. First stop is the Hadimba Devi temple, a four-storey cedar shrine standing in a quiet deodar grove, then the village of Vashisht with its natural hot-water springs and stone temple. You also take in Van Vihar by the river, the Tibetan monastery, and Manu Market and Mall Road for browsing and coffee. Most couples spend the late afternoon wandering Old Manali's cafes across the river before dinner and the night at the hotel. Keep a warm layer handy, the temperature drops sharply after dark.
Day 2: Solang Valley or Rohtang Pass
This is the big mountain day. After a slow breakfast you drive up the valley to Solang, the adventure meadow where you can try paragliding, the ropeway, a zorb ride or a snow scooter, all at your own cost. If the road is open you continue to Rohtang Pass, at 3,978 metres a genuine high pass linking Manali to Lahaul and Spiti, with snow on the ground for much of the year. The approach runs past the mouth of the Atal Tunnel, and beyond it the meadows of Sissu make a fine photo stop if you have the time. Rohtang needs a permit and a separate entry charge, which is why it sits in the exclusions, and in deep winter the pass can be shut, in which case Solang and the tunnel area stand in. You return to the hotel for the honeymoon candlelight dinner and the night.
Day 3: Kullu and Naggar day trip
Today you head down the valley to Kullu and Naggar. You can raft a stretch of the Beas near Babeli, stop at a shawl and handloom factory, and then spend time at Naggar Castle, a 15th-century stone-and-timber fort that now holds an art gallery and the Nicholas Roerich collection, looking straight across the valley. Nearby are old hill-stone temples worth a short walk. Couples who would rather swap the castle for the Parvati valley can ask to run this day to Kasol and the hot springs at Manikaran instead. You return to Manali in the evening for dinner and the night at the hotel.
Day 4: Departure
After breakfast you check out, and the driver takes you to the Volvo station for the overnight journey back to Delhi and your onward flight to Bangalore. Keep the return flight for later in the day or the next morning if you can, the mountain leg is long and you do not want to rush it. You leave with a phone full of photos and a trip that started in the plains and ended in the snow.
Where you stay
You are put up in a honeymoon suite in a comfortable 3-star hotel in Manali, with breakfast and dinner included daily and a complimentary candlelight dinner and room decoration for the couple. Rooms are allotted against availability, so the exact hotel is confirmed on your quote. If you want a specific property, a riverside stay or an upgrade for the honeymoon, tell your travel expert and the plan is adjusted before you pay.

Price, cancellation and refund
The package starts at Rs 12,499 per person on twin sharing, rising to about Rs 13,440 in peak season or with a better hotel, and the price you see is the price you book, held by our Offer terms. Because it is customisable, adding nights, upgrading the hotel or building in Kasol and Manikaran changes the figure, and your travel expert confirms the final amount in writing before any payment.
Cancellation and refund follow the terms shared on your confirmed quote. Since every Manali honeymoon from Bangalore is customised, the refund you are due depends on how much notice you give and on the hotel and transport already locked for your dates. Your travel expert sets out the exact refund slab in writing before you pay, so there is no guesswork later. Peak-season bookings for December to February and April to June lock earlier, so cancelling close to travel usually carries a higher charge than an off-season change.
What couples tell us
Couples who took this trip come back to the same few details: a driver who knows the Rohtang road and its check-post timings, a hotel that keeps the honeymoon candlelight dinner exactly as promised, and a desk that answers when the plan needs a nudge on the day. Those are the small things that decide a honeymoon, and they are what a customised booking is meant to protect.
"For a winter honeymoon, keep Rohtang for day two and start mid-morning. The pass road clears after the check post opens, so a later start still gets you the snow with time to spare, and if the pass is shut the Atal Tunnel and Sissu side is a reliable stand-in," says the TravelTriangle Himachal desk.
