Day 1 – Kerala to Delhi, then up to the hills

The Hadimba Devi temple sits in a cedar grove a short drive from the mall, the Vashisht hot springs and the small Van Vihar lake are close by, and the Tibetan monastery near the bazaar is worth the twenty minutes. Day 5 – Kullu, Manikaran and the Parvati Valley

Sissu, a village with a waterfall and open snow fields, is about a 45-minute drive from Solang through the tunnel and needs no permit, so it has become the easy snow day. Rohtang Pass itself is still worth the detour when it is open, but it stays shut through winter and needs a permit and a green-tax pass when it reopens, so treat it as a seasonal add-on rather than the main route.
