This is the first day of our great trip. Our representative will receive and pick up you at the airport/railway station and from there, we will drive for 3 hours to reach Shillong. This is the capital of Meghalaya state and one of the great tourist attractions of India. Shillong is home to the Khasi tribe; the rolling hills and climates are creating scenic views. While on the way to Shillong, stop and visit the beautiful Umiam Lake. Visit the local market there and Don Bosco Monument too. Enjoy the drenching boat ride experience in Ward’s Lake. A day full of sightseeing opportunities

After having breakfast, we will start our journey to have more and more fun. We will drive to Dawki, where we will visit Shillong Peak and Elephant Falls. The visit to Shillong Peak is subject to some regulations. The next destination of this trip is river Umngot, which is popular for its amazingly crystal clear water; don’t forget to enjoy the boat safari. Visit Mawlynnong, which is a picturesque village located in East Khasi Hills along the India-Bangladesh border. It was declared as the cleanest village of Asia in 2003 by Discover India magazine. Enjoy an overnight stay in Shillong.

It is the time to experience nature

Today, we will start a trek to the village to witness the Khasi way of life by meeting the locals. There are many more delights that are yet to explore, these are Balancing Rock, Sky Walk, Bangladesh Viewpoint and the longest Living Root Bridge. Now, drive to Cherrapunjee. On the way, experience the beauty of Nohkalikai Falls and Seven Sisters Falls. Don’t forget to explore Mawsmai Cave and Arwah Cave for enthralling experiences. Have breakfast and proceed to Guwahati. En route don’t forget to take blessings from Maa Kamakhya Temple. This is one of 51 Shakti Pithas of Hindu Mythology, which is located on the top of Nilachal hills. Though the temple has Hindu accreditations, you can also take an eagle eye view of the whole city. Resume the drive to Guwahati Airport and proceed for your hometown from here.
