Gangtok is the capital of Sikkim, one of the prominent districts situated amidst the Himalayan range in India and is known for its prolonged Floras and Faunas, and the serenity that is oozing in every corner of the city. The city is an occupant of three major group of people and linguistic variances; Nepalis, Lepchas & Bhutias. The city has a pilgrimage aspect as well after the edifice of the Enchey Monastery in 1840. The city is well known from the colonial period because of being one of the major gateways of trade between India and Tibet.
The meaning of the term “Gangtok” is allegedly said to be ‘hill cut’ and there is no need to say that the city is exquisitely bounded by many other hefty and trivial peaks of the Himalayan Range, where Kanchenjunga is the highest peak seen from the city. Being a state of three major group of people Gangtok has many things to discover from the three backgrounds including some lip-smacking dishes from each of the community. Spending a 4-day interval of your Sikkim tour Package from Chennai will not be adequate to enjoy the beauty of the city entirely, though one can visit the most of it in a 4 Days tour package to Gangtok. The city is well connected by its road thus local or private cars will take you to all the main destinations of Gangtok. The major attractions are the nature made falls of Gangtok, gardens, mountain villages, gompas with awesome architecture, museums, arts and crafts, and some enjoyable exciting sports like paragliding, mount rafting etc.
The city is well connected to the neighboring country Tibet, thus the carried Tibetan culture will give a holistic experience of being in peace for a few days. Explore the colonial historical importance and visit the holy temples of Gangtok.
- Visit the Pass connecting India & China
- See the Kanchenjunga Mountain

Trip to Sikkim - Gangtok - DarjeelingMr. Pempa Gurung, driver at Gangtok trip was too much reserve, rude and we can say non- caring in nature. Even he was not bothered to have any co-ordination with taxi driver of sharing taxi during the visit at NATHULA. On returning from Nathula, sharing taxi driver left us at the same place where we took sharing taxi. However Mr. Pempa was nowhere, mobile network was also not working at about 14000 ft. height. For some time we were helpless. After some time we found some taxi were parked at helipad about 250 to 300 meters distance. We had no choice and to walk there. There was Mr. Pempa standing carelessly. On the other hand Driver at Darjeeling Mr. Jyoti was nice person, caring and co-operative in nature. Any how trip was OK, it could be better if any nice person like Mr. Jyoti be there in Gangtok with us.Pundefined

Trip to Sikkim - Gangtok - Darjeelingjust now I had booked Lungba travels through travel triangle for Darjeeling and Sikkim trip. The trip went ok as planned. But while dropping us to the airport which was part of our itinerary, the driver came 3 hours late and we missed our return flight. We had to spend Rs 22000 additional money to book new flights. Mr Deepak had accepted it was their mistake and committed to pay us the complete amount of Rs 22000. But he payed only half amount of Rs 11000. It has been more than 1 year I still have not received my Rs 11000. Mr Deepak is also not committing to pay me that money. I have evidence of this on WhatsApp. He is making excuses that it was driver's fault and they are not ready to pay and he is paying from his own pocket. Travel triangle did not support in getting my money back and said the issue was between me and Lungba travels and they will not interfere. So while booking Lungba travels don't get surprised if the driver comes late to pick up and Lungba travels not taking any responsibility of the consequences happening due to it. Sikkim and Darjeeling have the best sightseeing pointaAB

Trip to Sikkim - Gangtok - DarjeelingTour Dates: 10th to 15th June 2019 Our tour to Sikkim & Darjeeling was organized very well. Though our train reached NJP late by 7 hours, pick-up driver (Mr. Darmenbhai) was very co-operative - he halted at the NJP station overnight to receive us. Stay at Siliguri, Gangtok, Lachung & Darjeeling was also in good hotels. Sightseeing cars and drivers were good. Ms. Mayee of Tour Angle supported us very well (over phone) throughout the trip which made us feel more comfortable & care-free during our tour. [only problem we faced was - for visiting Lachung, car did not pick-up/drop us from/to the Gangtok hotel, we had to make our own arrangements to & fro Vazra Stand for that we had to spend Rs. 600/- extra for taxi]. Overall experience : very good & fulfilling.Ha

Trip to Sikkim - Gangtok - DarjeelingWe just completed our modified Sikkim tour with TourDeWorld booked through travel triangle. Now, booking was the easiest part. Everything (almost) was as per our requirements. We asked for a modified itinerary, we got it. We asked to change the hotels to the Summit group of hotels, we ALMOST got that done too. The itinerary looked appealing and we were assured that the hotel given to (specially in Lachung.. we had asked for Summit Alpine, but that was unavailable), was equally good. Now the first day involved a lot of travelling. The hotel we stayed in after the LONNNNGGG travel gave us two room, out of which one had a non functional flush. On complaining about it, they shifted us to another below par room, stating atleast it has a balcony. It was such a claustrophobic room and with the continuous rain, what were we supposed to do with that balcony ? On complaining and demanding our money back, the hotel staff got the bathroom fixed and we were again moved to our old room after wasting 1.5 hours of our arrival. The second day we were supposed to head to Lachen. There was a landslide and we had to change our plans and go to Lachung instead. We were accomodated in the same hotel (Etho Metho) which we were supposed to stay in on our stay in Lachung the next day. That hotel was given to us after assuring that it's similar to summit alpine (one of the better hotels in Lachung). Now firstly, we had to pay some extra money to get a decent room as the room we had smelled and were too small to even step in. Second, there was no electricity because the hotel management had no diesel to turn on the generator. So we slept without charging our phones, ate with insects in candle light and had no hot water early in the morning (we had to leave at 6 am) to bathe despite asking for it again and again and again from the hotel staff. My husband got along a leech in his shoes in the darkness, which sucked on his blood for almost an hour before we realised what had happened. Finally, two out of the five drivers were so irritating, one reached hours late after asking us to be ready and Check out at 6:30 am. (He reached at 10 am ). He took us to Pelling and it was so humid throughout the three days we were with him. He didn't turn on the AC despite telling him again and again and again (we had paid for a luxury vehicle). We contacted Mr Waqar and told him all the problems. He said he will find out and call back. That hasn't happened till date. When that driver finally turned on the ac on our last day back to Siliguri, he started driving (while descent) at a speed of 10 ( I'm not kidding). And this was an innova, not a Maruti Suzuki. It was so irritating we had to relent and ask him to turn it off lest we miss our flight . The final straw was when the travel agents didn't get our permit to NatuLa pass(India China border). All the locals there informed us it was totally the travel agencies fault as they didn't apply timely. I'd NOT suggest TourDeWorld to anyone. They were the most unprofessional people with no communication whatsoever once the full payment was done. The four of us who went on the trip, have more complains than memories and I've not stated even half of them here. Sikkim, as a place on the other hand, is truly beautiful. Visit the state, but don't book through TourDeWorld.PS
