There are five prominent lakes in Udaipur, which are Lake Pichola, Udai Sagar Lake, Fateh Sagar Lake, Rajsamand Lake, and the Jaisamand Lake. A few other small lakes that form the watercourses of Udaipur are Doodh Talai, Badi ka Talab and Kumaria Talab.

The Rana of Mewar or Rana Kumbha belongs to the Sisodia clan, who built the Kumbhalgarh fort in the 15th century. A famous architect of the yester era, namely, Madan, was hired to complete the design and architecture of the Kumbhalgarh Fort.

Kumbhalgarh is 86 kilometers away from the city of Udaipur. The easiest and the safest way to reach Kumbhalgarh fort is to take an SUV car from Udaipur to Kumbhalgarh as no direct buses or trains are plying in between the two places.

Chittorgarh fort is one of the most massive forts of India. It destroyed three times, first when Allaudin Khilji defeated Raja Ratan Singh, secondly when Bahadur Shah defeated Bikramjeet Singh and finally when Akbar defeated Maharana Udai Singh II.
