A Holy Visit To Vaishno Devi

Katra is the starting point of Vaishno Devi yatra and the trek to visit the temple starts from this point. The distance between Katra and Vaishno Devi is around 13 km and a trek of the Himalayas is to be covered to seek blessings of Vaishno Mata.

There is no direct conveyance available to reach Vaishno Devi Temple. However, you can choose to reach the nearest railway station or the nearest airport. The nearest railway station is the Katra Railway Station and the nearest airport is the Jammu Tawi Airport.

Vaishno Devi Temple is situated in Trikuta mountains and the height of this place is around 5,220 m above sea level. The shrine is almost 61 km north of Jammu and Kashmir.
