The hotel in Pelling was excellent, the view was amazing, the breakfast options were great, and the staff members were extremely warm and helpful. We genuinely loved our stay there. The hotel in Gangtok, however, was comparatively average and honestly did not feel up to the expected 3-star standard. The staff seemed quite casual in their approach. For example, when we asked for drinking water, we were told to refill bottles from the dispenser outside the room, which did not seem appropriate. The breakfast options were also very limited. Since the hotel appears somewhat misleading in terms of standards, we felt it was important to share this feedback. Regarding the drivers, the drivers till Gangtok were fine and tried to cover most of the sightseeing points, although a few places were missed. Clearer communication from the driver regarding the possibility of missing certain points would have been appreciated. The driver on the second day (when Nathula Pass was skipped) was good as well. A very special mention goes to Pujan Sharma, our driver from Gangtok to Pelling and then to Siliguri. He was honestly one of the best drivers we have ever met extremely polite, well-mannered, professional, and very hospitable throughout the journey. He maintained excellent communication and made us feel very comfortable during the trip. We would highly recommend him to everyone. Overall, the trip was smooth, pleasant, and memorable. We are truly grateful for Ajay’s planning, coordination, and execution throughout the journey. Thank you once again to Ajay and Sierra Vacations.
