excellent, the view was amazing, the breakfast options were great, and the staff members were extremely warm and helpful. We genuinely loved our stay there. The hotel in Gangtok, however, was comparatively average and honestly did not feel up to the expected 3-star standard. The staff seemed quite casual in their approach. For example, when we asked for drinking water, we were told to refill bottles from the dispenser outside the room, which did not seem appropriate. The breakfast options were also very limited. Since the hotel appears somewhat misleading in terms of standards, we felt it was important to share this feedback. Regarding the drivers, the drivers till Gangtok were fine and tried to cover most of the sightseeing points, although a few places were missed. Clearer communication from the driver regarding the possibility of missing certain points would have been appreciated. The driver on the second day (when Nathula Pass was skipped) was good as well. A very special mention goes to Pujan Sharma, our driver from Gangtok to Pelling and then to Siliguri. He was honestly one of the best drivers we have ever met extremely polite, well-mannered, professional, and very hospitable throughout the journey. He maintained excellent communication and made us feel very comfortable during the trip. We would highly recommend him to everyone. Overall, the trip was smooth, pleasant, and memorable. We are truly grateful for Ajay’s planning, coordination, and execution throughout the journey. Thank you once again to Ajay and Sierra Vacations.

ou have to pay 500 more to taxi driver because indian railway delayed the train by 5 hours after huge discussion they refund 200 rs. Day 2- hotel rufina pinasa residency is the great hotel in Gangtok breakfast was excellent Every thing was gud in morning but as we started our trip after 30-40 min we saw the real face of driver we don't know what happened but suddenly driver turned the car in very angr one side their was mountain and one side there was river it was really very scary we were 6 adult and 3kids he didn't even think for a second before turning the car in that fast speed.. After we reached homestay lachung comfotel food was very very bad we discussed to travel agent before only for 3veg and 3non veg people choices but than also they didn't made any non veg item and items were also very bad we just tested only salt and spicy in veg dish no other flavours.. Day 3- breakfast was average but for dinner we ask them for non veg firstly they refused to make the chiken they told us that their is no chicken available in market but then we took permission form them to bring chicken and we provided them but then they completely burnt the dish we were not able to eat that so it was very bad experience in North Sikkim in terms of food. Day 4 - we had planned for nathula pass and other points but coz of weather we were not able to go there it was completely fine but they asked for 1500rs extra in advance to drop us to final destination zuluk because of route diversion zuluk homestay eco hut was very nice and food was also very good.. Day 5-zuluk - dargelling every thing was gud bt all 3 rooms provided in hotel was very small.. Day 6- dargelling - Siliguri every thing was gud and driver was very nice he explains every thing and show every point that was mentioned in tour plan.. Overall experience was not that nice that we have imagined before going in trip. We have to call travel agent almost daily for a complaint. But suman ji from bina travel is very nice and humble person she attended us every time and resolved the problems but problems comes daily and sometimes it's belond her capacity. We have booked this tour with travel traingle and we have called high authority of travel traingle to complain but till now they didn't have taken any action and never called back for follow up regarding trip

good. Lachen and Lachung trips were excellent, driver was also very nice. Gangtok trip was also very good. Had some up-downs for Peilling trip, as hotel voucher was not working and had to switch hotel for 2nd day. Driver was not paying for parking despite inclusion of parking fees. Though it was refunded later by travel agent. One point of improvement would be, they out source the traveling and sometimes drivers are on 3rd or 4th sub-contract so, issues like timing, parking fees etc. arises, if this could be taken care then it would be good. During our trip, we requested some modifications, and Bina Travels accommodated them without any complaints. From planning the tour to ensuring everything went smoothly during the trip, they stayed in touch to make sure we were having a great experience. Their service was exceptional. Special thanks to Bina madam and Manisha madam. The hotel booked for us at Gangtok and Lachung were expceptional. It was so nice, no points found for "need improvement" On the last day, our taxi driver canceled at the last moment, which was a really bad experience. However, Bina Travels quickly arranged a substitute within a few minutes, ensuring we reached the airport on time. "Not so good" part: Our airport pickup on the first day was delayed, and we had to wait for 2 hours at the airport. The car that eventually arrived was a Siliguri-Gangtok shuttle service vehicle in poor condition, with dust everywhere, including on the seats. On the third day, there was a delay with the Nathula Pass permit, which was sent to our driver by another taxi. The morning taxi arrived 45 minutes late, and we had to wait an additional hour for the permit on the roadside. Bina Travels could have provided the permit early in the day, saving us an hour that we could have spent exploring another place or enjoying more time at Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir. The hotel in Darjeeling was located at the dead end of a hilly road, making it difficult to access (this may be due to last minute addition in the itinerary to add 1 day Darjeeling trip). The one-way road caused us to wait in traffic for an hour. The hotel didn't have an elevator, and our rooms were on the 4th floor. The hotel itself was disappointing, with no power in the room for the entire night. The generator was switched off after some time, and the response from the hotel staff was unsatisfactory. Bina Travels should coordinate with more reliable taxi drivers and hotel partners.

le SUV since we will be spending a lot of time on the road. I also requested that the hotels be 3 or 4 stars with deluxe rooms since there were kids and elderly. I also asked 100 times about travelling during elections. I was assured that everything will be taken care of and there was nothing to worry about. Here is our experience Hotels - The first hotel we stayed was Mandarva in Gangtok and it was good and just what we asked for. Clean, neat and good breakfast. We also had a lovely view of the city from our window. Unfortunately, it was in a residential area with no hotels or anything else nearby. It was too far from the shops/restaurants like MG Marg. In Sikkim, the sun sets by 5.30 pm and in the summer, it also rains heavily in the evening. So, taking a taxi and going out in the wet, dark hilly area is not really an easy option. So, we asked for a hotel that was close to MG Marg. They changed it to Pearl Retreat which was an older/ok ok hotel. However, they were kind and accommodative of my request to keep food ready on a day when we got stranded and returned pretty late. The worst hotel we stayed was a place called ‘Daksha’ in Pelling (Naming and Shaming here very intentionally). It was dirty, unhygienic and chaotic with clueless staff and run like a hostel forget deluxe standards here. Basic was also so terrible. We found out bed linen had hair, dirt marks and dust all over. They gave us a room without dusting, same old linen and a wet bathroom. Also, on the 3rd floor and no lift. I didn’t even want to stay there for 1 night! The other hotels were passable or okay. Cab and Driver – Spending a minimum of 4-5 hours in the car is unavoidable in Sikkim. As per our request we were given a nice SUV (a XUV 700 with sun roof) The car was comfortable most of the time and our driver was also a young local who drove really well and carefully in the mountain roads. However, on day 3, while returning to Gangtok from Lachung, the vehicle had some challenges with pickup/driving up the hill and we got delayed very badly. We had been awake from 6 am that morning visiting Zero point/Yamthang valley which were at high elevation and 3 of us had altitude sickness and had not eaten anything for hours. We found that the driver and the travel agents were more interested in sorting their vehicle rather than helping us figure out a way to get to Gangtok. I finally had to intervene ask for another vehicle to pick us up. Keep in mind, Sikkim is sparsely populated. The place we were stuck had no humans, lights and it was raining making the roads very muddy and dangerous. We got back late to the hotel after spending nearly 16 hours that day in the car with a very sick child. A nightmarish night ride where I was hoping and praying my child doesn’t get severe dehydration. Our driver for Darjeeling local sightseeing was another local driver and he refused to come to our hotel (Taksa Retreat) and wanted us to climb up the road. We explained to him that my mom and child were tired after climbing and walking so much every day. He was very reluctant, unhappy and had to be coerced by the travel agent to pick us up at the lobby. Our last leg of the journey was travel to Bagdogra from Darjeeling. Our flight was at 2.45 pm and we left Darjeeling at 10 am. It was the last day of election campaigning in WB and there were 2 massive political rallies at Darjeeling District and Siliguri. Neither us nor our driver had any clue about this. We got redirected by the police and paramilitary personnel multiple times and we had to take different diversions in the hills. Then as if the cup of woe has not run over, our SUV got a flat tire. By them time we repaired it and reached the airport, the staff refused to board us as they had closed the gates. But this is what disappointed me the most - I had requested our driver to wait for few mins after dropping us, in case I need help with getting dropped at a hotel. We were 3 women alone in an unfamiliar place and I was getting stressed about the possible options/safety in case we miss the flight. Our driver chose to leave, and he gave my number to a random driver in the taxi stand to help us. This guy was with us for a whole week, and we treated him well, but I guess he was in a hurry to go back to Gangtok rather than worry about people whose trip and tips are done. Luckily, the taxi driver turned out to be a nice person and dropped us at the hotel as requested. He mentioned that most taxis/drivers cancelled their trips to Darjeeling because of the political rallies. They also informed their clients who wanted to leave Darjeeling to leave early in the morning to avoid road closures and diversions. I really wish our Driver/Travel agent had done some check on this and updated us. Travel Agent – As soon as we landed, our travel agent mentioned that they had made some changes in our itinerary and that instead of Nathula Pass, we will be doing Yumthang Valley first. We were okay with that since we knew that traveling in Sikkim means being flexible and being okay with unpredictability. However, this seemed to be only applicable for tourists and not the travel agents. I requested that we post pone Nathula pass for a day after our nightmarish road travel back from Lachung and since everyone was sick. They expected us to do 2 consecutive days of heavy road trips to high altitudes. They made a huge fuss about cancelling and changing hotel plans and basically put all the extra charges on us. The manager Mr. Deepak was extremely rude and told me “You are already getting so much personalized services for the money you paid”. I really think that the package (which was hotels + ground Transport + personalised service) was not value for money especially the hotel accommodations. Not to mention the goof ups in getting permits to Northern Sikkim. My name was conveniently left out of the permit, and we could go only because of the military personnel being accommodative. (So much for personalized service!) However, Mr. Abhishek Thapa who was my SPOC and coordinated the whole trip for me was always polite, helpful and checked in on us morning and evening every day. I really appreciate that he was able to keep his composure and help us in the best way he can. May be in couple of months, all that has happened might become an interesting titbit/travel anecdote to share with others. But right now, I am quite bugged and feel very unhappy that we had to get so distressed during the holiday, especially at the end of it. Not to mention the extra money that we had to shell out again for tickets and accommodation. As for the travel agent/package we took – I am not so sure. I would have liked to give them the benefit of doubt, but in my interactions with them, I sensed that they were more interested in making their profit than worry about the customer’s well-being or experience.

ay Rs 2,000 extra to have a NEAT CLEAN , Innova vehicle on a Through and through basis wherein a single car and driver stay with us from day one to last day. But in reality the allocation was made on a point to point basis in different locations.. The Hotels booked at Siliguri, Gangtok and Pelling were good as promised. Neat rooms, good food, good service. But the Hotel Sumitel booked @ Darjerling is the WORST we have experienced in our life. It is located about 250 mts away from the Post office.. and you need to pull your suitcases all the way to a furlong or above to reach a small, dingy hotel.. the approach road is a narrow walking path lane that goes through residential areas and roadside shops.. everybody will be observing you when you are pulling or carrying the suitcases. On paper it is proposed as a 4* hotel.. but in reality it might be a 2* or less. Hence we have to vacate it and move to Ramada , Darjeeling by paying @ Rs 15,000 for two nights additionally.. this Hotel should never be recommended to any visitors.. Now the payment made to Travel Triangle by is Rs 131,500.. as it was invoiced to us.. against an Agreed and finalised quote of Rs 130,000 plus Rs 600 as Convenience fees for two Paxs @ Rs 300 each.. we are yet to receive the extra amount of Rs 900.. Overall the rating could be 4/5... Great Stay at Gangtok all site seeing places, great visit to Pelling and visit to Hanchanajunga Waterfall, Skywalk are a must.. we missed out on the visit to North Sikkim as the roads to Lachun and Lachen and closed due to a natural disaster recently.. Darjeeling Toy train ride, Tiger Hill trip.. was great. With clear skies all through. Great view of Mount Kanchenjunga.. Great food, great service in hotels and no upset stomachs. Overall its a great time to visit Sikkim and Darjeeling.. and we had very good time. Rating 4/5

he driver didn’t bother to clean it at all. The cab AC started to cool only after about an hour after the cab left behind Siliguri. While coming back from Jaigaon to Bagdogra, the cab was changed from Innova to Ertiga without our knowledge and consent. However, the worst came when the Ertiga driver refused to switch the AC on saying that he’s not getting enough so as to switch on the AC. After a lot of commotion, and a call to Nitesh, the travel agent, the cab driver switched the AC on. We were still left to get one more surprise, the driver was driving extremely rash. I would long to forget the cab experience within West Bengal. Bhutan driver, guide, scenic beauty and Bhutanese people - all were amazing. Would love to go there again, but by taking direct flight to Paro, even though it’s costly, but worth it.

Regarding Hotels, all hotels are good, with enough amenities, good hygiene, tasty breakfast and ofcourse good hospitality. Only scope for improvement - Hotel in Siliguri is too poor in hygeine and in service. At this price , a good hotel may be found , even if hotel has less ameneties , good hygiene is essential, i think. Damchen resort in punakha is good but room size is too small. Regarding our travel and guide Timely Pickup and drop, comfortable vehicle. The guide, named Bijay, is humble, very knowledgeable, helpful and giving truthful information most of the times Only scope for improvement is changing tyres of vehicle can be done by driver, Sandip, before scheduled travel so tourist don't have to wait. InPhobjika, view from the hotel Yue Loki, was superb... Tiger nest hike was memorable...
