How to Reach Asia from Bangalore

  • Bangalore to Asia
3800000000000001; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 10pt; text-align: justify;">Bangalore or Bengaluru is the capital of the state of Karnataka. Some of the main attractions are the Bangalore Palace, the Lal Bagh Botanical Gardens, the Bannerghatta zoo, Snow city, Cubbon Park, etc. For shoppers there is Commercial Street, Brigade Road, MG Road and the malls. The Kempe Gowda International Airport is an international airport with flights connecting Bangalore with several international destinations in Asia and other continents. There are several modes of transport to be considered on how to reach Asia from Bangalore.

By Air: Kempe Gowda International Airport (BLR) is Karnataka’s first fully solar powered airport. It is well connected with international destinations in Asia and other cities worldwide.  Some major cities with direct flights from Bangalore are Sharjah, Kuwait, Dubai, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Kathmandu, Muscat, Doha, Jeddah, Riyadh, Colombo, Bangkok, and many more. The airlines connecting to these destinations are Air India, Etihad, Emirates, Singapore Airlines, Qatar Airways, Cathay Pacific, Sri Lankan Airlines, Nepal Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Air Asia and several others.

By Rail: there are no direct trains connecting Bangalore to any other Asian country. India as a country does have a few railway links to other Asian countries. You can travel from Bangalore to the junction where these trains start either by flight or by train. For example, the Maitree Express bound for Dhaka starts from Kolkata.

By Road: By road one can travel to several destinations from Bangalore. You can either drive your own vehicle which will then require certain documentations and permits or you can reach the transit point by flight or train then take a public transport from then on. For example, you can travel to Bhutan from Bangalore by first going to Bagdogra then from there you will need to drive to Phuentsholing which shares its border with Bhutan where the documentation process to Bhutan needs to be completed. The India-Myanmar-Thailand Trilateral Highway is under construction that will connect Moreh in Manipur India with Mae Sot Thailand via Myanmar. You will need to travel from Bangalore to Guwahati then Imphal. This can be done either by train, flight or by road.
