Going from Ahmedabad to Bhutan is not very difficult a task. It can be approached by various means of transport. However, flying remains the most convenient and economical way to go from Ahmedabad to Bhutan. Here it is explained how to reach Bhutan from Ahmedabad by air, road, and railways.
By Air: International flights to Bhutan from India flies only from limited cities. Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Bagdogra are the airports with the privilege to fly to Paro. The main airport of Bhutan is situated at Paro, which receives daily flights run by Druk Air from different international locations, including Bangkok and Kathmandu. Thus there is no direct Ahmedabad to Paro flight. However, one can easily fly to any of the four cities that are connected to Paro with a flight to avail the Ahmedabad to Bhutan by air journey. The first part of the journey can be made with any Indian airlines. The second part is operated by Druk Air or Bhutan Airlines.
By Road: The most common land entry point between India and Bhutan is at Jaigaon-Phuentsholing from West Bengal. This is the easiest location to reach from Ahmedabad, compared to the two other entrances which fall on the Assam-Bhutan border. Ahmedabad to Bhutan distance, however, is a little more than 2580 kilometers and thus Ahmedabad to Bhutan by road takes 50 straight hours to reach. One has to cross the entire horizontal stretch of the country to reach Jaigaon, where the permission to enter Bhutan from India has to be acquired.
By Rail: There are no direct rail routes from Ahmedabad to Bhutan. But there are a few Indian stations which are within a drivable distance of the Bhutan border. Hasimara is the closest, only 17 kilometers away. New Jalpaiguri, Siliguri and New Alipurduar and Guwahati are the other approachable stations.

Trip to BhutanIt was a great trip, and everything was planned as per the need, there was no rush we were allowed to visit each place with peace and have our time absorbing it. Though I have some complaints about the hotel in paro, apart from it everything, in words of Chandler, was perfection. Himalayan range view from do Chu la pass.
Trip to BhutanJourney Highlanders arranged a great trip for us. My husband and I were looking for a peaceful vacation and that is exactly what we got. The driver and the organiser were both very friendly and helpful. The hotels could have been better, we had opted for 4 star hotels but in Phuentsholing, Punakha and Paro the hotels were 3 star properties. The original property booked for us in Paro was not upto the mark, but when we requested Journey Highlanders to change the hotel they instantly obliged and booked another decent property for us. Overall, the entire journey was hassle-free and peaceful.

Trip to BhutanHi, I went to Bhutan with my wife for a week. It was a wonderful experience. Golden vacations informed me about the itinerary well in advance and also added me to their business whatsapp group to address any issue. My driver name is Raj Pradhan and he knew Bhutan well so there was no issues visiting any place. Overall, it was a good trip for honeymoon. Please talk to the driver on every day basis the places in your list shared by the agency. If it is not posssible to visit the mentioned place, you can request him to take to other destination.
Trip to BhutanOur trip was a memorable one. Everything regarding our booking was marvellously handeled. The highlights were definitely the trek to TIger's nest monastery, Dochula pass, and the suspension bridge. Our driver cum guide was extremely nice and helpful. Staff in all the 3 hotels (we covered Paro, Phunakha, and Thimpu) was very friendly and the food quality was good as well. Do try Chicken Paa and Kewa Datchi.
