By Air: There are no direct Guwahati to Bhutan flight. Druk Air and Bhutan airlines only fly from Kolkata, Delhi, Bagdogra, and Mumbai among the Indian cities. So to avail air travel from Guwahati to Bhutan, one has to first fly to Kolkata or Bagdogra airport near Siliguri and from there take another flight to Paro, Bhutan main airport.

By Road: Going from Guwahati to Bhutan by road is the easiest and fastest way. The route from Guwahati to Bhutan via Rangia takes only around 3 hours by car. The distance from Guwahati to Bhutan border is around 150 kilometers when NH27 is taken. Along the Assam border, there are two entry points to Bhutan. One is Gelephu, and another is Samdrup Jongkhar, which is closer.

By Train: Guwahati to Bhutan by train is not possible, unless one is willing to change several trains and arrive at the destination exhausted. It is recommended that travelers attempt the by road option, or by flight option for best results.
