Climate in Paro
Summer Season in Paro
The average temperature in Paro, Bhutan during the summer season hovers around 22°C. The whole spring season and the early summers are the best time to visit Paro Bhutan. During this time, the skies start getting bluer and clearer. The rhododendrons are in full bloom by April. With an average low of 8-9°C and a high of 21-24°C, Paro weather in May and April are simply perfect for a vacation. Being located near the tropics and yet at a lower altitude than the mountains up north, Paro enjoys a typically subtropical highland climate throughout summer. Paro climate during this time is warm and very pleasant for outdoor trips like monastery visits, trekking and picnicking.
Monsoon Season in Paro
Like the rest of the subcontinent, Bhutan faces southwest monsoons during the months of June to July. The relentless showers ensure a humid climate till mid-September at the very least. Monsoons in the mountains are not a very safe bet. There can be landslides and road blockages from time to time, making transportation quite difficult. However, once the clouds go away, the months of October and November are ideal for a visit. Paro Bhutan weather during these two months is the most pleasant. The skies go back to being the blue of the spring; while the rivers, freshly fed by the rains are ferocious enough for a super-exciting session of water rafting or kayaking. With an average temperature of 25°C in September, visitors can enjoy all the outdoor excursions without any fear once again. All the trekking routes are safe, and the climate is brilliant as well.
Winter Season in Paro
Those who can tolerate slightly freezing climate, winters should not be a problem in Paro. Because of its position as a valley and proximity to the river, the wind might feel chillier than usual. But still, Paro weather in December and November gets an average minimum temperature of -1°C only. The only problem of travelling in Paro in December is the visibility. There are sudden fogs and lots of mists which lower the visibility of transportation. Activities like hiking and biking become difficult as well. Snowfall is not really common here, which makes sure that travelling in winter in Paro is not completely off the table.

Trip to BhutanWe had planned our Bhutan Trip through KNG Tours and Travels.Everything was well planned and within our budget. The KNG Driver, Karma is a great guy and cooperative to our needs. He kept us busy with all his information on Bhutan. Punakha Suspension Bridge visit with local Momo and Suja tea.The Punakha Zong is a MasterCraft and we took many photos.Chele la pass at Paro was full of snow and quite chilling.
Trip to BhutanOn the whole very good experience. But hotel park was big disappointment for all the guests. They didn’t live up to the expectations like other 2 hotels Thimphu and Paro.
Trip to Bhutanhighly recommended.. we ran into some issues with our flight - Bhutan airlines due to bad weather but Avinash from Bhutan ventures was always available and happy to assist, even at 5 am. amazing team at Bhutan ventures and also our driver - Karo was super accommodating and nice. All in all - they covered all the locations for sightseeing in Thimphu, paro and punakha, the entire trip was amazing, the hotels could have been slightly better in Thimphu, however we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.. will highly recommended Bhutan ventures and would definitely travel with them next time.
Trip to BhutanHotel arrangements could have been better, basic facilities like electricity, cleanliness, hygiene was not there in Oyo Barsana Hotel, the other two hotels Yardroling in Thimphu was a good 3-star hotel, while the other hotel in Paro was average. Also the agent should have at least basic knowledge of the place their client is visiting to! Our agent (Kajal) informed about the weather conditions being pleasant at Bhutan, but after reaching there we realized it was very cold and thus we had to shop for woollen clothes which caused us additional expenses and which could have been avoided if we were informed to carry proper woollen clothes already.
Trip to BhutanDefinitely one of the best experience overall from the beginning of booking the trip, tickets, hotel arrangement, local sightseeing and driver. Would like to thanks Ranjeetha for her passionately helping and following up with the end to end arrangements. Our driver Ranjan in Paro was so humble, polite and warmth. Trying the local cuisines, tiger nest trekking and rafting
Trip to BhutanDriver was only dropping at places of interest but after done with by 2 p.m. he used to go away making us to remain confined to our room with no access to the other places/, restaurant for varied taste for our dinner. Haa was not accessible due snow set road. Agent should say before both driver & tourists what is included & excluded, as in our case the agent later told us we could have taken up the issue of driver service being unavailable.
Trip to BhutanIt was one of the best trips. Had an awesome time. Only we missed the guide part because of which we were not able to understand historical facts behind it. Driver was friendly but not proactive. Candle light dinner Suspension bridge Hot stone bath Trekking to taktsang.

She has planned an unforgettable trip for us and also accomodated all the extra things we wanted to do which were not in itenrary. Also her team, Thinley (Guide) and Ram (Driver) were very professional and friendly. We had a memorable stay in the land of happiness“Bhutan”. Karuna has taken extra efforts to ensure that our trip was smooth at every leg. She has ensured smooth check ins and also checked with us time and again how the trip was going. She has Definitely added a personal touch by meeting us in Thimpu and ensuring smooth trip. Highly recommend for Bhutan trip. Unexpected snowfall in the month of Feb. It was icing on the cake
