The airport is located about 25 kilometers northwest of the city center. A direct flight from India to Toronto takes about 15 hours to complete the journey.
How to reach Toronto from India
The only way to go to from India to Toronto is by flight. There are multiple airlines, both solo and joint, from India to Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ). Needless to say, this is the only form of transport that is possible between India and any Canadian city. The distance from India to Toronto by air is 11000 km. This route goes towards the east over Japan and the huge stretch of Pacific to reach Toronto. The other route is even longer, going over Asia Minor to Europe, and then across Atlantic to Toronto. If you buy connecting tickets to India from Toronto, the flights will mostly have layovers in any of the European cities, depending on the airlines. Some have stops in the South Asian or Middle-eastern countries as well.
After one lands in Toronto, the city’s immaculate transport facilities will help to reach the downtown part of wherever your hotel is. Other flights are jointly operated by Indian airlines like Jet Airways and Air India and connect with British Airways, Air Canada, Cathay Pacific, Lufthansa, Swiss Air, and other carriers.
The only country one drive to Canada from is the USA. There are no possible ways to go from India to Toronto by roadway for obvious geographical distance. If one is in the USA first, then they can drive through the border point at Buffalo. From here, driving distance to Toronto is 1 hour 45 minutes and to Niagara Falls is 30 minutes only. The Rainbow Bridge over the Niagara Falls is open for anyone to walk across and enter Canada. But only walking through is allowed and no personal or commercial vehicles is entertained. You will still need a proper passport and driver’s license as identity proofs.
