By Air: Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (AMD) is served by nonstop flights from Bangalore. IndiGo, Jet Airways, and SpiceJet have regularly scheduled flights between Ahmedabad and Bangalore. The average flight duration is a little over two hours. Travellers can also board connecting flights from Bangalore to reach other cities in Gujarat like Surat and Rajkot. Connecting flights between these destinations usually have a layover at the airport in Mumbai. Once reaching their destination in Gujarat, tourists can hire local taxis for sightseeing.

 

By Rail: Direct trains between Bangalore and Ahmedabad are available. Rajkot–Coimbatore Express, Okha–Tuticorin Vivek Express, Ajmer–Bengaluru Garib Nawaz Express, and Gandhidham–Bengaluru Express are major weekly trains between Bangalore and Ahmedabad. These trains usually pass through other cities in Gujarat like Vadodara, Surat, and Rajkot.

 

By Road: The road distance between Bangalore and Surat is about 1,250 kilometres and the distance between Ahmedabad and Surat is about 268 km. Since Gujarat is not a huge state in terms of area, all major cities in Gujarat such as Rajkot and Vadodara are within a drivable distance from Ahmedabad.
