Tips for Dholavira

  • There are not many places to stay overnight in Dholavira. There are two major places, one run by the Gujarat State Tourism Department and the other by the Forest Department. If you intend to stay here, be sure to book well in advance, as these places are full through the year
  • If you are on a day trip to the site, carry an umbrella or a sun hat and wear a lot of sunscreen
  • Carry along your water and stay hydrated. The desert sun can leave you dry and tired
  • If on a day trip and travelling by bus, be mindful of the timings. The buses ply only at given times and if you miss one then you have to stay in the village.

Meghha's 5 days trip to Kutch

I had a great trip to part of Gujarat. My main agenda of the trip was to visit Rann of Kutch and I included local sight seeing in Ahmedabad. My travel and stay in Bhuj and Rann of Kutch was managed Diu Holidays, assisted by Anjali. I had a good experience with the travel agency - she was available on call for any of my planning and queries related to travel. The hotel in Bhuj was the best. It has been recently renovated with beautiful decor and good service. Rann of Kutch tent stay was great, but the tent itself was average. It is quite old and needs basic improvements to the faucets in the washroom, and AC maintenance. It was clean and the people managing the property were helpful, food was great and entertainment in common area was also good. Overall I had a good break taking this short trip to Gujarat.

Hi Good morning. Becon Hotel Vadodara was not worth for even a night's stay. The rooms were too small and cramped. Probably single room converted to double. Staff at reception were not courties and were taking a long time for clearance. No parking and accommodation for the driver . Better not to continue with this hotel for tourists bookings by your company.

I am Radhakrishnan travelling with family of 4 members almost all main sightseeing areas of Gujarat and found it extra convenient and comfortable in s brand new Kia Carens, a good driver like a family member and tour guide... And special mention to one of their staff Payal Solanki who guide me for the whole comfortable journey. Only negative part is that Hotel Clark Collection charged 18 %GST for fooding their restuarant but all other hotels charged only 5%GST ... Please note that it's against rules
